[Audyssey] picking up coins in chapter1 of scw

2007-07-01 Thread nicol
Hi all
I'm so excited. I received my registration key. Thanks a million to phil for
organizing it so nicely for me.
I'm the kind of gamer that likes to pick up all coins before I move on to
the next chapter. The marauder's map tells me that there is still a lot of
coins lying around in the entrance hall and that there is still a few coins
in the broom cupboard and there is 1 coin left in the staff room but I
can't find any coins there.
I definitely picked up a lot of coins so far because at first there was
coins in the basement but now the marauder's map doesn't make the sound of
the nuts anymore when describing the basement.
It makes the sound of the nuts when it mentions the broom cupboard, entrance
hall and staff room, so there should be coins there, but I can't find any.
After I heard that there is still 4 coins left in the broom cupboard for
instance, I went into the broom cupboard and walked around in it but I
didn't hear any sound of picking up coins.
Is it a bug?
I also noticed after I find the old parchment and I activated it that either
the descendium or asendium password appears in the password list. All the
others are there but asendium and descendium doesn't appear both. If I press
enter on the old parchment from the inventory an additional time asendium
is there instead of descendium and vice versa.
Was anyone able to pick up all coins on chapter1? If there is no coins left
in chapter1 then I should hear no nuts sound when the marauder's map is
read.

2007-07-01 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi nicol,
The sound of coins when reading the map even when there is no coins is a bug
I think the map is finding coins that ended up in a wall and can not be
gotten.
Unless I add a blowup walls feature!
No I will not do this because then you could walk right through a wall into
the sweet shop or lake.

[Audyssey] Updated Vista Compatibility Chart.

2007-07-01 Thread Thomas Ward
Vista Game Compatibility Chart

6/29/2007

Introduction

Before you read the chart below I feel it necessary to point out a few
things.
First, to get most of these games to operate properly under Windows
Vista you must have a recent copy of the Microsoft dx7vb.dll and
dx8vb.dll files. These files can be found on any Windows XP system
located in the
c:\windows\system32
directory. They do not ship with Windows Vista so must be manually
copied from a Windows XP computer to the new Windows Vista computer, and
placed in Vista's
c:\windows\system32 directory.
Some games such as Sarah will install these files for you, but in most
cases there is no other way to obtain these necessary files other than
to copy them from a Windows XP computer to your Windows Vista computer.
Second, some games such as Rail Racer require the very latest DirectX
updates from
http://www.microsoft.com/directx
and the .Net framework to run. So be sure to have the required system
requirements installed.
Finally, I do mention some games require full administration rights to
install. To do this arrow to the games installation file, press the
Windows context menu key, arrow to run as administrator, and press
enter. This will allow you to install the game as administrator.

good, let me know and I will check it out and make it an official game
 track
so it can be raced online as well as in single player mode for money.
Right now, I am looking for some class 5 and 7 tracks, but any difficulty
 level is ok.
  Thanks,

Hey! How come you've got a copy of Raceway and I don't?? Just because it's

driven me to play other games. Heck with it for now. I'm off to explore
some fun little place, seeking Montezuma's Revenge. Keep the subject line

Hi Nicol,
No one has reported the problem of having 4 patronus charms but unable to
use them.
It could also be that Peeves has taken all your wands but I will check both.
The fix for the headless hats is only in my computer and not released yet.
There are a few other things I am working on and the patronus situation for
me to check out before I can release a new patch.

Re: [Audyssey] tcl files

2007-07-01 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Chris,
Not that I am aware of. There are massive differences between xml and tcl.
XML is a mark up language mainly used for the web, but it has been used
for settings in Java and .Net applications. It is also used for help
files for the Gnome desktop.
TCL is a scripting language. Usually it is inbedded in C/C++
applications or is run by a TCL runtime application like TCL.exe.
Bottom line, it is like comparing Apples to Potatoes with no similarities.
