[Audyssey] CMUD supports Simutronics by default.

2009-10-20 Thread James Homuth
CMUD, which looks like a replacement to the apparently discontinued ZMUD,
has Simutronics support built in by default. You don't need the front-end
wizard to make use of it. Now, last time I used ZMUD it required some
tweeking to actually play nice with JAWS (don't have any other screenreaders
to test it on), but it was doable. If the same still holds true, it might be
a viable replacement to the need to run their front-end program just to
extract the authentication token. For a detailed feature list:

you have a word varification to fill out
I think the address to ask for one is accou...@core-exiles.com but there will
be links to follow to get your varification done.
I suggest after you do this you log in the forum your userid should be the same
as your char name and then you need to leave a message in general introducing
yourself.
then respond to the email giving you free cash.

follow the instructions the npcs on starbase 51 and new oryan give you.
after that you can go into combat and trade.
Weapons.
I suggest a player get the following weapons.
1. eratic houler.
2 functional houler
3 gatling I forgot what I got.
After a few missions you may find it gets harder.
I am around that time.
you can always trade which is what I am trying to do for now anyway.

Subject: [Audyssey] Follow-up to Simutronics playing through telnet

I'll experiment wih this later, as I'm surprised the original method I
plsted may not work, but I found alternative instructions from about a month
ago on a Gemstone IV forum regarding playing with a non-supported
Simutronics client. They are similar to what I originally posted, just
looking for a different file with a .sal extension. I've rewritten the
instructions in places for conciseness and clarification.

1. Log in to your Simutronics account at the GS website and go to the Go
Play! page.
2. Select the character with which you wish to play. Don't log in to the
game yet.
3. Select either the Wizard or Stormfront as your client.
4. Click the Go Play! button. When you do this, your web browser should
hopefully attempt to open a file ending in .sal. Save that file to your
disk.
5. Open the saved .sal file in Notepad. The most important lines are the
last three lines, starting with GAMEHOST, GAMEPORT, and KEY.
6. Now go into GMUD or your client of choice. Enter whatever comes after the
'=' in the GAMEHOST line as the Host to which you want to connect.
7. Enter the GAMEPORT into your client's field.
8. Connect to the game. The client will connect and then appear to hang.
What it's doing is waiting for your KEY and your front-end choice. We'll
enter
that in the next two steps.
9. Copy whatever comes after the '=' in the KEY line of the .sal file
directly into the MUD client and hit enter. This will send your key to the
Simu server;
it will seem as if there is no response.
10. Now type into your MUD client the following (and then hit enter):
/FE:JAVA

That should connect you to the game. Good luck!

Re: [Audyssey] Malls on ce?

2009-10-20 Thread dark
Well, I never tried shields up so I can't compare, but I will agree on the
goodness of Ce.

Don't completely discount trade missions though, sinse you also need the
faction xp in Ashar corp to do some npc missions. Also, when your faction xp
goes up, you get more lucrative missions.

Generally, if I'm going into a spate of cargo and passenger runs, when I've
got my passenger with the farthest and highest paying mission, I use the
plotter (which can be found externally at
http://www.core-exiles.com/099e24da60b139021a88d3d4527268fa/route/index.php),
to see what systems I'll be going through, and collect passengers and cargo
accordingly.

Even if the cargo mission is only making me a puny thousand creds, --- if
I'm passing that system anyway I might as well have it, not to mention
the xp.

These days though, the least I'll be getting for an ashar mission is about
3000, and some with really long distances have fetched me more.

The only thing is, it does eat up the fuel quicker than anything else in
Ce, another reason to balance transport missions with combat or mining.

2009-10-20 Thread Darren Harris
Yeah, I'm now looking for the equipment to land on planets. Am in the
forje and there's tons of places that I can't as yet go. So I need to
find the equipment to land on planets and equip myself with that. Have
you ever tried the stocks and shares yet?

Well, I never tried shields up so I can't compare, but I will agree on
the
goodness of Ce.

Don't completely discount trade missions though, sinse you also need the

faction xp in Ashar corp to do some npc missions. Also, when your
faction xp
goes up, you get more lucrative missions.

Generally, if I'm going into a spate of cargo and passenger runs, when
I've
got my passenger with the farthest and highest paying mission, I use the

plotter (which can be found externally at
http://www.core-exiles.com/099e24da60b139021a88d3d4527268fa/route/index.
php),
to see what systems I'll be going through, and collect passengers and
cargo
accordingly.

Even if the cargo mission is only making me a puny thousand creds, ---
if
I'm passing that system anyway I might as well have it, not to
mention
the xp.

These days though, the least I'll be getting for an ashar mission is
about
3000, and some with really long distances have fetched me more.

The only thing is, it does eat up the fuel quicker than anything else in

Ce, another reason to balance transport missions with combat or
mining.

Beware the grue!

 Indeed.

Darran, you should really check the guides section of the forum. There

are lots of handy things there about various game aspects, from
 combat to
 Mal's to settlemnts.

The forum layout isn't the usual bb type but it's quite useable.

Mal's aren't for you to buy things, but to sell them!

Check the forum's help and guides section (a good idea all around),
for how to go about it.

It's not something I think I'll be doing sinse you need negotiation
skill pluss various production skills if your going to build your own

 store to

 market),

but it does look an interesting way of making cash none the less.

[Audyssey] Mech combat in Ce

2009-10-20 Thread dark
just to let people know, I've tried mech combat and it's completely accessible.

it's basically a page of text detailing what the mechs are doing which auto
refreshes every ten seconds and posts new text like a mud.

If it refreshed a bit quicker it could be a pest, but ten seconds is plenty
of time to read the screen and see what's going on.
Your mech also pretty much works on automatic anyway, and all you need to do is
recall it after it's been in a battle, - or in my case, pick up the pieces
and sell them for scrap, lol!

Just thought anyone who was interested in fighting mechs would appreciate
knowing that it's not going to cause your screen reader to explode.

Beware the grue!

CMUD, which looks like a replacement to the apparently discontinued ZMUD,
has Simutronics support built in by default. You don't need the front-end
wizard to make use of it. Now, last time I used ZMUD it required some
tweeking to actually play nice with JAWS (don't have any other
screenreaders
to test it on), but it was doable. If the same still holds true, it might
be

a viable replacement to the need to run their front-end program just to
extract the authentication token. For a detailed feature list:

Re: [Audyssey] Malls on ce?

2009-10-20 Thread dark
Commercial storage and commercial transport are absolute necessities in
game. It's easy to overlook them, but they're a great way of storing large
quantities of items.

for getting ore, you have three principle options. You can buy either a
mining drone or ore extractor.

Extracting will cost you some Ip to get the survey points and it takes a
litle upkeep, but you can get some good resources this way, even with a
low level, such as special ores from planets like Sassion or Sephira which
cell at a prophit, and are also needed on npc missions.

Mining drones are good too if you can afford them, though obviously
they only mine bog standard ore.
Passenger transport is a fantastic way of making money if you don't mind
expending quite a lot of fuel, while the cabin is initially expensive,
you earn the money back in no time.

Also, taking combat missions and selling the loot is good too. if you aime
for ships like Darts and barbs, and avoid any ship class that isn't a pirate
you should be okay, and you can always run away if the enemy is too
strong! (though this will no longer be necessary once the threat rating is
labled), you can make betwene 5 and 20 K for a full hold of loot, even
just selling it to jo.

Lastly, chatting really! helps, it's great for filling small resource
contracts for missions, (you could possibly find someone to sell you the
ore), also people are very helpful, nd even occasionally buy things at
great prices.

the other day, someone bought 50 units of Sassion ore from me for 50 k! it's
normal only 20 creddits a unit.

when I asked, said person just said they had money to burn and couldn't be
bothered with the extraction, but had seen my extractor on sassion the
previous day pulling in the ore.

right now i'm on 380 K and just debating which order to buy a shield,
passenger cabin upgrade, and shield repare unit in.

There is no registration, you're already registered. Just click on the
graphic under where it says your captain name (Hal reads it as a long http
address ending in the word sign in), and that'll sign you streight in to
chat, though I've noticed the server does take a while to connect and
sort itself out sometimes.

Alternatively, you can use an external Irc client to connect to the core

if that'd help.

Cool. In one of my recent test buildsI just took Kerberos on hand to

Hi Darren,

Hi Bryan,
Cool. In one of my recent test buildsI just took Kerberos on hand to hand.
Boy was that tough. I killed him, but it took a lot of jumping around,
kicking, and punching him until he finally dropped. I also had to use two
healing potions to keep my strength/health up long enough to get the job
done. It was extremely tough, but was fun battling him hand to hand like
that.

Bryan Peterson wrote:
Well, I've managed to beat MOTA on the easy difficulty without taking a

the room's entrance so I could back away after hitting him a few times

but a few rounds from most of my guns and I had three potionns to spare.
So if the full game had been available I'd have been in decent shape to
take on the next level. And as an added bonus I've beaten the level three
times on Intermediate, even managing to kill Kerberos the last time. I
think I'm definitely ready to record my own MOTA review. Of course if I
did it now it wouldn't be in stereo since I'm still having trouble with
that.

Hi Darren,
Understandable. Although, the later betas like beta 7, beta 8, etc are
pretty stable as is. Only a few miner bugs here and there. So far beta 9
is shaping up to be a great release. I just recorded myself playing beta
9, and am uploading the preview of level 1 as we speak. So if you don't
want to try the beta you might want to listen to me litterally kicking
some enemy butt with the new hand to hand combat feature as well as some
use of standard weapons too.

[Audyssey] MOTA Preview for Beta 9

2009-10-20 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi everybody,
Since a lot of you are uploading game recordings of yourselves playing
Mysteries of the Ancients beta 8 I thought I'd do something similar only
with the development release of beta 9. In this preview I not only get a
chanse to let you guys here me play I get to show off Angela's new hand
to hand combat ability. There are a couple of places where I am either
low on ammo or without any ammo so I beat the stuff out of a couple of

the big show down between Angela Carter and Kerberos with swords and
hand to hand only. You can download the preview here.

Hi Bryan,
Yeah, Kerberos is not easy to take down in hand to hand combat when he
is fresh, but if you soften him up a bit with a sword or something else
he isn't too bad. In my audio preview I just uploaded I softened him up
with a sword, and then came in fists and feet blazing and finished him
off personally in hand to hand. He didn't put up too much of a fight at
that point. I think he was too busy wondering who in hell this amazon
was who sliced him up with a sword, and then beat the crap out of him
with kicks and punches for good measure. Lol!

How did you record that out of curiosity? I'm having some trouble with mine.
I've got a pretty decent USB microphone, the problem is that I can't seem to
get Gold Wave to record in Stereo despite having it set to record that way.
I think it has to do with a setting in Vista but I'm not sure. I haven't
been able to figure out how to record directly from the sound card.

Hi Charles,
Your in luck. It is up. See the public list announcement on where to get
the MOTA beta 9 preview file.
As for recording I just recorded it using latest Goldwave. I think that
is 5.55 or something like that. Hardware is nothing special. I think
this desktop only has a l-cheapo Soundmax AC-97 card in it. Not the best
card in the world, but functional for a home office computer.

There are a couple of places where I am either
low on ammo or without any ammo so I beat the stuff out of a couple of
centaurs and amazons with a series of kicks and punches. Then, of course
the big show down between Angela Carter and Kerberos with swords and hand
to hand only. You can download the preview here.

Re: [Audyssey] Best MOTA games yet...

2009-10-20 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Bryan,
I'll have to look up the exact setting in Vista to let you record from
your soundcard, but it isn't present on every Vista system from what
I've seen. A lot depends on what sound card you have, if you have
updated Vista drivers, etc. On one of my computers here the option is
grayed out in the Vista mixer settings like it is unavailable so it
seams to be a hit or miss thing. Like I said earlier I'll try and write
up a faq or tutorial this week with my experiences recording under Vista.

Bryan Peterson wrote:
How did you record that out of curiosity? I'm having some trouble with

can't seem to get Gold Wave to record in Stereo despite having it set

I'm not sure. I haven't been able to figure out how to record directly
from the sound card.

Hi Charles,
Well, I guess it is no big secret. the reason I didn't pick up the gold
key right after I jumped into the water is that it unlocks the statue in
room 12, to the right of the flooded room, and I already had the silver
key that unlocks the statue in room 9. So I decided to collect the gold
key on my way to rooms 11 and 12. It doesn't really matter if you get
that key before or after visiting room 10, but I usually wait until
afterward to get it.

No.

The bigger the ship you get, the better it's various stats are, this

no difference to the engine, engines you have to buy from the

I have one, included in the starter pack i bought, but I admit I bought

Hi Scot,
Smile. Yeah, I'm aiming for realism somewhat with the hand to hand
combat. It also becomes quite adictive. I've already played a couple of
games on beginner where I didn't use any weapons but the hand to hand
combat. It was sort of fun just punching and kicking everything in
sight. It isn't Street Fighter or Double Dragon, but it felt like a
classic beat-m-up all the same. A great stress releaver.

Take that..And this...And that! How does that feel you over grown flea

I used to use zmud to play the simutronics games, but I had a real problem
with the ability to gag text. The developer designed zmud such that gagging
a line actually pulled it off of the screen only after it had been
displayed, which caused all sorts of jaws issues. It's definitely doable,
but if I could use my preferred client, I'd be all the happier.

For a detailed feature list:

you need to hit create account and put in the details the game tells you.
you have a word varification to fill out
I think the address to ask for one is accou...@core-exiles.com but there
will be links to follow to get your varification done.
I suggest after you do this you log in the forum your userid should be the
same as your char name and then you need to leave a message in general
introducing yourself.
then respond to the email giving you free cash.

follow the instructions the npcs on starbase 51 and new oryan give you.
after that you can go into combat and trade.
Weapons.
I suggest a player get the following weapons.
1. eratic houler.
2 functional houler
3 gatling I forgot what I got.
After a few missions you may find it gets harder.

you can always trade which is what I am trying to do for now anyway.

Subject: [Audyssey] Follow-up to Simutronics playing through telnet

I'll experiment wih this later, as I'm surprised the original method I
plsted may not work, but I found alternative instructions from about a
month
ago on a Gemstone IV forum regarding playing with a non-supported

Enter whatever comes after
the
'=' in the GAMEHOST line as the Host to which you want to connect.
This will send your key to the
Simu server;
it will seem as if there is no response.
10. Now type into your MUD client the following (and then hit enter):
/FE:JAVA

That should connect you to the game. Good luck!

Re: [Audyssey] hand to hand combat in MOTA

2009-10-20 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Charles,
No there isn't. The way it works is if your weapons are holstered
pressing the spacebar will randomly select a punch or kick. It will also
randomly generate the amount of damage done by that punch/kick. You'll
be able to hear the difference between a punch or kick by the sound when
you hit the enemies body. Kicks have a deeper contact sound than the
punches. They also do a little more damage than do punches.

[Audyssey] Some news and questions

2009-10-20 Thread Angellko21

Dear friends,
I have some news for you and some questions.
I make manuals for Top spin and Virtua tennis. But I can not English as well
as you. I want to excuse for some sentences. :) Tomorrow I send both to
Sendspace.com. I played Top spin 2 with gamepad, because keyboard is not
support for control player. The sounds are not as good as in top spin 1, the
ball and hit is like golf. :)

And questions now.
Please, where I can download some better voices to speak in games? I have
Sapy 5 Mary, but I know about Cepstral for example or Acapela.

Thank you very much.

thanks dark.
things may calm down today and I may yet hit the game.
Myself I have actually not done much, betwene reading, life, and sorting avg
which is as sorted as I can get it I will try to come back.
I havn't made myself known, yeah I may try to buy more things.
What is necessary to maintain an extracter.
At 11:54 p.m. 20/10/2009, you wrote:
Commercial storage and commercial transport are absolute necessities in game.
It's easy to overlook them, but they're a great way of storing large
quantities of items.

for getting ore, you have three principle options. You can buy either a
mining drone or ore extractor.

Extracting will cost you some Ip to get the survey points and it takes a litle
upkeep, but you can get some good resources this way, even with a low
level, such as special ores from planets like Sassion or Sephira which cell at
a prophit, and are also needed on npc missions.

Mining drones are good too if you can afford them, though obviously they
only mine bog standard ore.
Passenger transport is a fantastic way of making money if you don't mind
expending quite a lot of fuel, while the cabin is initially expensive,
you earn the money back in no time.

Also, taking combat missions and selling the loot is good too. if you aime for
ships like Darts and barbs, and avoid any ship class that isn't a pirate you
should be okay, and you can always run away if the enemy is too strong!
(though this will no longer be necessary once the threat rating is labled),
you can make betwene 5 and 20 K for a full hold of loot, even just
selling it to jo.

Lastly, chatting really! helps, it's great for filling small resource
contracts for missions, (you could possibly find someone to sell you the ore),
also people are very helpful, nd even occasionally buy things at great
prices.

the other day, someone bought 50 units of Sassion ore from me for 50 k! it's
normal only 20 creddits a unit.

when I asked, said person just said they had money to burn and couldn't be
bothered with the extraction, but had seen my extractor on sassion the
previous day pulling in the ore.

right now i'm on 380 K and just debating which order to buy a shield,
passenger cabin upgrade, and shield repare unit in.

Hth.

If I had the drones maybe more energy and scanners I may have remained in

However my level only allows for about 720 armour which is just not much

I may get drones maybe a launcher and required stocks.
however I have better work working for ashar corp than trying to bag anything.
maybe I will try the gal fed combat and get easy cash.
I suppose the other way is to destroy pirates and raders of weaker strength
than I have and try that way to get what I need.

Then, there are players who perform services. There's a very nice chap

Those are both ways to have access to resource gathering methods

Re: [Audyssey] So has anybody bought anything from the store in ce yet?

2009-10-20 Thread dark

You can't buy engines on the player markit at all, nor make them in game.

You can buy fuel storage tanks which let you hold more than 3500 units of
fuel at a time, but these tend to be expensive and amazingly below what
is available commercially.

For instance, the best fuel storage tank you'll get in game holds an extra
150 units, where as the storage tanks in the store which go at the cheapest
for about seven dollars hold an extra two thousand.

fuel and engines really are just a limiter on how much you can play at a
time. Sinse I like the game and tend to spend a long time playing, it works
out well for me.

of days, I admit it, the game is highly addictive!

Extractors need maintaining not in the sense of actually expending money or
resources to work them, but in the sense of A, expending Ip to survey for
different commodities (the higher your survey skill, the more types of
resource you can extract), AND ALSO IN MAKING CERTAIN YOU KEEP AN EYE ON HOW
MANY DAYS YOUR EXTRACTION LICENSE LASTS, SINSE IF YOU DON'T PICK YOUR
EXTRACTOR UP BEFORE IT RUNS OUT, IT'S CONTENSE GET IMPOUNDED BY THE ORSA
CORP.

SINSE THOUGH PERSONAL EXTRACTORS WILL BE PICKING UP BETWENE 5 AND 7 UNITS AN
HOUR, AND CAN ONLY HOLD 1000 UNITS, ODDS ARE YOUR EXTRACTOR WILL BE FULL
BEFORE YOUR LICENSE RUNS OUT ANYWAY, IN WHICH CASE YOU CAN JUST GO AND
COLLECT IT ALONG WITH YOUR LOOT.

commercial or industrial extractors take production skill to run, but
personal extractors (the sort sold in npc stores), will run just fine with
nothing but your survey skill to look for possible resources to extract.

Extractors, like mining drones are a great way of making money while
your not on the game, which is incredibly useful.

thanks dark.
things may calm down today and I may yet hit the game.
Myself I have actually not done much, betwene reading, life, and sorting
avg which is as sorted as I can get it I will try to come back.

I havn't made myself known, yeah I may try to buy more things.
What is necessary to maintain an extracter.
At 11:54 p.m. 20/10/2009, you wrote:
Commercial storage and commercial transport are absolute necessities in
game. It's easy to overlook them, but they're a great way of storing large
quantities of items.

for getting ore, you have three principle options. You can buy either
a mining drone or ore extractor.

Extracting will cost you some Ip to get the survey points and it takes a
litle upkeep, but you can get some good resources this way, even with
a low level, such as special ores from planets like Sassion or Sephira
which cell at a prophit, and are also needed on npc missions.

Mining drones are good too if you can afford them, though obviously
they only mine bog standard ore.
Passenger transport is a fantastic way of making money if you don't mind
expending quite a lot of fuel, while the cabin is initially
expensive, you earn the money back in no time.

Also, taking combat missions and selling the loot is good too. if you aime
for ships like Darts and barbs, and avoid any ship class that isn't a
pirate you should be okay, and you can always run away if the enemy
is too strong! (though this will no longer be necessary once the threat
rating is labled), you can make betwene 5 and 20 K for a full hold of
loot, even just selling it to jo.

Lastly, chatting really! helps, it's great for filling small resource
contracts for missions, (you could possibly find someone to sell you the
ore), also people are very helpful, nd even occasionally buy things
at great prices.

the other day, someone bought 50 units of Sassion ore from me for 50 k!
it's normal only 20 creddits a unit.

when I asked, said person just said they had money to burn and couldn't be
bothered with the extraction, but had seen my extractor on sassion the
previous day pulling in the ore.

right now i'm on 380 K and just debating which order to buy a shield,
passenger cabin upgrade, and shield repare unit in.

Re: [Audyssey] hand to hand combat in MOTA

2009-10-20 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi,
Best answer is when it is ready. I plan to put out a patch in a couple
of days to give you the hand to hand combat and a couple of other miner
bug fixes, but as for the full beta 9 release I don't know yet. I'm
currently working on the registration system, adding the new levels, and
some other important things for beta 9. So it could be a while for beta 9.

Re: [Audyssey] hand to hand combat in MOTA

2009-10-20 Thread Scott Chesworth
I actually really like the idea of the hand to hand offensive moves
being randomly generated. Pounding away at the space bar and hoping
luck is on your side seems fitting to the stage of desperation most
gamers will be in when they have to fall back on using it. Cool idea.

commercial or industrial extractors take production skill to run, but personal

Commercial storage and commercial transport are absolute necessities in

for getting ore, you have three principle options.

[Audyssey] A couple more questions about top speed 2

gigapack, which is a zipped up version of all available tracks and cars made
for TS2. Does anyone know if it has been released yet and if not, when it will
be released? Second, I just downloaded top speed 2.1, and it will not let me
create or play in a multiplayer game. When I try to create one after about a
full minute it says, failed to start server. When I try to play a game with
my friend, it can't find his server. Could this be a computer problem or is
there something I need to do?
Thanks.

just to let people know, I've tried mech combat and it's completely
accessible.

it's basically a page of text detailing what the mechs are doing which auto
refreshes every ten seconds and posts new text like a mud.

If it refreshed a bit quicker it could be a pest, but ten seconds is
plenty of time to read the screen and see what's going on.
Your mech also pretty much works on automatic anyway, and all you need to do
is recall it after it's been in a battle, - or in my case, pick up the
pieces and sell them for scrap, lol!

Just thought anyone who was interested in fighting mechs would appreciate
knowing that it's not going to cause your screen reader to explode.

[Audyssey] New game from Blind Adrenaline

2009-10-20 Thread Che
  Hey gang,
Blind Adrenaline is proud to announce that our online version of blackjack
is out of beta and ready for action.
If you have played our card games before, you know a lot of time is spent
getting the interface just right, so play is quick and smooth on the
dedicated server.
Since blackjack is my favorite casino game to play in the real world, I
wanted to do it justice for online play, and playing against the computer
can get kind of boring after a while, so I came up with a way to play
against your friends and enemies with a style of play called Blackjack
Burnout.
Basically the way burnout works is that you set a round time limit when
you create your table, say 5 minutes for example.
Each player puts up an entry fee determined by the table creator, this fee
goes into a pot that is split by the top finishers of the burnout.
When the round time limit is up, the player with the lowest amount of
chips is out of the game.
This leads to some very interesting money management strategy. Do you play
it safe and hope the other players lose money, or go for it and pray for
good cards?
We've had a lot of fun with this one in beta testing, and folks really
seem to like it so far, it is definately a unique experience in online game
play.
Blind Adrenaline also offers these other online card games:
  Hearts
  Hold em
  Draw poker
And technically, we now offer roulette, which is played to reset your chip
count if you bust out in blackjack. I didn't want to make this a main game,
as it is ok for a little while, but doesn't hold ones interest for very
long, which makes it a great game for resetting chip counts.
Anyhow, come check it out, we've got a great community of folks playing
pretty much around the clock, so finding some online action is a breeze.
You get a two week free trial when you first sign up, after that it is
$3.95 a month to play all our games.
Finally, we're gonna be holding some tournaments soon for some cool
prizes, I'll update the list when we start registration for this.
Hope to see you on the tables soon,
Oh, and if you respond to this message, be kind and delete the original,
so we stay under the minimum email size for the list, thanks.

required some tweeking to actually play nice with JAWS (don't have any
other screenreaders to test it on), but it was doable. If the same
still holds true, it might be a viable replacement to the need to run
their front-end program just to extract the authentication token. For
