Re: [Audyssey] quests in new test version of swamp

2012-02-02 Thread Jeremy Kaldobsky
Actually there is a bug with how reputation shows up which is affecting people
who used skill points in Charming. It's a disagreement between the client and
server about when bonus reputation points should be awarded. During things
like purchases, donations, or other events that verify the client's data, those
disagreements are causing trouble.

 Hi,

A follow up to my previous emails.

Tonight, I was able to complete 3 quests in a row. Two took
 me to the
hardware store, and one was in Kai mart. But I did notice on
 the 3rd one a
donation bug. When I donated the item, it said I had 11449
 rep. Then when I
exited the safe zone menu, it said I only had 11392
 rep. Now one thing I
did was to exit the donation menu by the esc key, not the
 previous menu
selection. I don't know if this makes any difference or not.
 Will have to
 test it out.

Bgt should have an ide that does all this stuff, its not exactly a

Its not impossible for bgt to have a basic ide its just no official

The key config file doesn't support the pressing of 2 standard keys

Could I change shift to something else though, so for

coordinates to be space and v?, instead of shift and v?

Re: [Audyssey] medieval weapons

2012-02-02 Thread Clement Chou
Well, Japanese history especially swordsmanship history is filled with
nodachi people... which is odd, because I have a lot of the same
conclusions. 12 feet maybe not, but keep in mind that long for a katana
isn't exactly long for other swords... a typical nodachi would have the
length of a claymore or a zweihander, typically about 5 feet was considered
long, since your average Katana is only about 3 including the tsuka or hilt.

[Audyssey] Looking for An accessible tads interpreter

2012-02-02 Thread hunter hoke
Well, as the subject line says, I'm looking for a tads interpreter
that will work with Jaws. I use filfre for my Z-Code games, but I want
to widen my IFselection by playing tads games. I've already tried
wintads and It's not very accessible. I've tried to get HTMLTads to
work but it doesn't. Does anyone know of an accessible tads
interpreter?

Re: [Audyssey] medieval weapons

2012-02-02 Thread Clement Chou
Right. This is why I say that a nodachi didn't necessarily have to be long
and unwieldy. We may find five feet long katana a hard thing to picture, but
to people back then it was pretty big... and Naginata were six or seven feet
long in and of themselves, and were still usable by samurai. So a nodachi
that wsas five feet long doesn't seem too impossible to me.

Take into consideration too, that back then, Japanese people were
extremely small- just look at the armor displays in museum, armor worn by
famed Samurai- most of these look to fit people under five feet tall lol.

[Audyssey] SC V demo

2012-02-02 Thread Clement Chou
Well, here's my demo. It's a bit of a hybrid of game demonstration, beginner's
tutorial, and just general fun. Enjoy, and any more questions you may have will
be answered. Just ask.

[Audyssey] swamp error

2012-02-02 Thread michael maslo
Hi list:

I have a problem or at least my sister has a problem when trying to install
swamp or run it.

She gets a error of:

run time error 339
msinet.ocx or one of it dependencies is missing or not registered correctly.

Can anyone tell me what would be causing this problem? She registered the
dx7vb.dll file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rather than explain all the steps, simply download this file into the Swamp
folder and run it.
