[Audyssey] games we'd like to play: definition game
7-128 Software has the reverse of the game Nicole suggested. It is called Definitions. In this game you have to select the correct definition for the presented word from its definition and three others. Thomas had a point about the number of synonyms there are for many words and that it would be hard to pick the correct one unless the definition were very carefully written. Our Synonyms and Antonyms game has a player select the correct synonym or antonym, depending on what is asked for. I am currently updating the list of synonyms and antonyms for the next update of our games and I am scratching my head over how many different concepts can be included as synonyms or antonyms of a particular word. English is a really loosely constructed language. That being said, I think the idea of guessing the word from the definition is an interesting one, and since I heard it here, I promise NOT to include it in any future accessible game. So, Nicole, if you want to do it - go for it! I'll be interested in the results. [Audyssey] Angel gift - Robjoy looking for voice actresses
This project is going to come out soon, (2-3 days), and at the last moment the actress that was supposed to do it canceled. As you can see from the script, the idea is rather unique, so we would appreciate help. The game is being created by robjoy, who used to be one of the members of Light tech interactive. Original message follows: Hi, December draws near, everyone cuddles up in a comfortable chair as winter rules outside and wishes for a new audio game. I'm very well aware of that, thus work has begun to create a Christmas game. Unfortunately, I'm short on Voice Actresses, thus I'd like to ask for your help. I need a voice actress to record around 50-60 lines of text, which may change slightly (max. 10 additional lines). You can contact me by replying here, or drop me a mail at (rob dot mail at freemail dot hu). (please replace dot with . and at with the [ a-t ] sign, respectively.) We can do the rest via Teamtalk, Skype, Zello, etc. Here are the requirements: I'm looking for a high-pitched voice. The sort of pitch where everyone screams, [wow], that's cute, when you watch anime. smile Microphone quality: Stereo is not required, however extremely low quality microphones would ruin the game atmosphere. If you are not sure about this, please reply here. The person has to be really expressive, as there are lines that should be in various moods: worry, pleasure, powerful/commanding, hurt, etc. No child voices, please. The character is young, but young-adult, rather than 10 year old. If upon hearing your voice this is not obvious, we can make exceptions smile Accent: Any English accent is accepted. What you will get in return. As this project is going to be free, sadly I will not be able to provide payment, but... Depending on the games success, the approval of the Audio Gaming community! We still remember and love great voice talents, such as Dark, right? I will be behind you with hints and advice, during the whole recording session, if needed. You are going to receive a full explanation of your character, moods and also technical support if required. A fantastic soundscape that reacts to your every move. Music that support you in every way, urging your character, along with the gamers to make your character's dream come true! You will be the first who receives the game, before the official release! Regardless of the success of the game, my humble gratitude. If you happen to not meet the requirements in any way, please, please spread the word as best as you can. Every second counts! May we have the address for your synonym game? I don't wish to seem a penny-pincher, but I must ask: Is it free? Re: [Audyssey] Seeking More Voice Volunteers for Swamp
Just a friendly reminder that the deadline for Swamp voice submissions is in about a week. You can safely assume this will be your last notification on the subject. http://is.gd/48WlmE After the 31st, voice submissions will be closed, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, it will be permanent this time; I really don't feel up to the headache of advertising and debating all over again. Original submitters: If I once allowed your entry through simply because we didn't have very many people, I am not making the same exception twice. Old voices will also have to meet the new guidelines in order to be implemented into future Swamp releases. (I've already excluded about two original voices because of this.) Though I did not make it clear in my original posting: we are now using 3 phrases per speech category, rather than just selecting the best line out of the three. Where before I selected the best even if you only submitted two phrases for a category, this time the system is changing, and if your voice does not meet the spec, it will either have repeats (if the rest of the voice is deemed good enough to keep), or it will be excluded altogether. A lot of people have expressed interest, only a few people have delivered. come on folks! this is your final opportunity to become a part of the epidemic that is Swamp. Let your voice be heard! Re: [Audyssey] Two-Fer-One E-mail: Laser Tag and iOS Game
That'd be the issue then. I don't know... lol and I never hit anything, as there aren't any movement effects for fighters or asteroids. How do you know you haven't found the stick? There's no noise to indicate you're moving, only a shift in the stereo positioning of the firing sounds of an enemy ship or of an explosion.. The stick is small, but if you touch in the bottom left corner of your device, you'll at least be certain of going southwest.
