Even that game wasn't exactly accessible since it didn't work with the Echo.

Apple Basic and were text based games. So I'm rather surprised it
didn't work with the Echo. There should be a way to make it accessible
unless they used graphical text rather than text which typically was
not done in the 80's.

Nope you can't turn the music off. But there is an Arcade mode that doesn't
feature music. I believe you can switch between the two modes by pressing M
on the title screen.
