[Audyssey] re-placing Chastity on moderated status from Chastity, thanks to Tim

2010-12-05 Thread Chastity MORSE
Yeah, and thanks Tim. I kind of figured it might be something with msn itself
as I have a paid subscription for the highest security program I can find that
works well with screen readers and did the entire scanning thing through the
entire computer, file by file and such, then did the clean-up which I do
regularily anyway and checked my email settings with this group and in general,
and nothing! Well, now I can ad my email to msn's problem list.Wow! I didn't
know it was going around that long with no fixes. Well, I hope it goes away
again.
Thanks again to all and sorry for the mess it caused.

[Audyssey] browser game question dealing with Ashes of Angels?

2010-12-05 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hey, I found the space game Ashes of Angels from this list and have been
playing it a lot. I haven't been on it for 2 days and now when I try to log on,
I can't even bring up the site. Does anyone else play this game or know what's
wrong? Did they just suddenly go offline or are they having problems with their

[Audyssey] re-placing Chastity on moderated status, from Chastity

2010-12-02 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hey, guys, I'm sorry about the confussion. If anyone has any idea how to fix
this, please let me know cause it seems to be happening with lots of my emails,
not just on this list thing. I kept getting emails back saying postmaster
delivery status can not send to...some address I've never even heard of.
Then, there are emails that look like I've sent them with no subject in them
and I never sent those, so I don't know if someone got's my email address and
is playing games or what, but I've been trying to find out what's happening.
Just started recently and I've been just deleting them without oppening them.
Then, some of my friends are getting stuff like this too! Hey, really sorry and
I didn't mean to mess up thing for everyone here and I'm still trying to find
out what the problem is, but if there's any ideas on how I can fix it, please,
let me know! As for responding to posts for this list, I just hit the link at
the bottom of the emails that says to send to this list and it brings up an
open email window to write my message in, nothing else wrong there I can find.

[Audyssey] To Philip on the old PB games

2010-11-29 Thread Chastity MORSE
Yes, I would be interested in seeing a newer version of Tarzan as long as we
can get a demo before buying the full game to get an idea of the updated game
play.
I have the old Dark Destroyer and I'm running IE8 and it works fine. It's also
a nice simple game diversion you can play quickly if you need a break from work
or school.
Please think about having a link for Dark Destroyer on your site or letting
Thomas host that game.
Good luck with the newer Tarzan and I hope you get enough people interested to
try updating it.

[Audyssey] Ashes of Angels browser game, question

2010-10-27 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hey, does anyone play the space browser game Ashes of Angels?
I'm a bit confused on what to do to start.
I read the beginners guide and I did upgrade my ship's hull, but I'm confused
on getting missions or trade items.
I went to the mission board and used the combo box to select cargo, but there
never seems to be any missions for me.
I'm at the easy level in the Sol system and based at Earth.
So, next, I tried going to the market, but again confused.
If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.
Oh, my name on there is Kithri in case you look for me.
In case anyone wants to try the game; its accessible as far as I can tell and
the address is:

[Audyssey] Question for developer of L-Works games

2010-10-17 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hi, in egg hunt and super egg hunt and toy robbery, is there anyway you can
add, when reviewing your programming of the game, a function for the character
to runn instead of just walk. Some other games from other companies use the
shift arrows for running. Is something like this possible?
I have no idea how people are getting such high scores on these games! My best
in the egg games is around 50.

[Audyssey] for all developers, possible games to consider for the future?

2010-10-17 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hey, I've a few suggestions for those that are good at developing games, which
I'm not as I'm still working on learning the gaming code.
I am wondering if anyone has thought of trying some sort of versions of the
following in an audio format?

Mario Brothers game, the original since its probably the easiest
you could still jump over the bad creatures and instead of stomping on them to
kill them, shoot them, gain different weapons through different levels and
accumulate points to gain extra lives. Collect coins/gold for points, jump lava
pits, climb ladders, I don't know something like that

checkers
basic checkers on standard square board where each person tries to get to the
other side of the board to get kinged and then they try to take out the
opponents pieces to win

my yong/majong
I don't know how this is really spellt, but it's a tile game with numbers and
symbols in colors that have to be matched or something, not to sure of the
concept quite yet

The last two might be good projects for kitchensink or spoonbill software games?

trivial pursuit
go around the board answering questions, but if you land on a pie wedge
question you have to guess that right to get your pie wedge color and game
continues until you fill your entire pie, can't remember 5 or 6 slices.
Questions are random, but divided into categories like science, health, history
and so on. Roll of dice determines how far your piece moves over the board.
Could use the monopoly dice concept along with triva questions with multiple
choice answers.

Otholo
similar to checkers in basic concept in a square board divided into squares.
Each player has 32 pieces one person white, one black. Haven't played in a
while, but I think object is to get all your pieces across to other side of
board and turned over.

backgammon
another board game with round pieces to move across, but can't remember concept
of this one, I think no dice though, so like checkers in that way.

oregon trail
remember the ole classroom game most of us probably played as kids, well that's
the one. This probably could be done with a mix of text, sounds and action.
Text for picking your equiptment and reading the panels of what happens along
the trail. Sound for the nature, indians, guns shooting, horses and whatever
else could make sound. Action by shooting the deer, turkeys and fishing.

there was another one, but can't think of it right now.
Anyway, thought I'd just mention these in case anyone's interested.

[Audyssey] re- to all developers, possible games to consider for the future?

2010-10-17 Thread Chastity MORSE
Mike, I totally agree! Halo and Call of Duty would be great and they would need
to probably be rpg onlines or browser based at the least.
I haven't found a dungeons and dragons that was very accessible either.

As for Oregon Trial, that would be excellent if someone would think of doing
this one. Yes, it was a kids game, but still neat to play and with realistic
sounds like the wagon and horses, guns shooting, raiders and indians attacking
and everything, it would be great. Still probably need text in there to let you
know your supply, money, and people status though. I might include bow and
arrows in the weapons and fishing for more of a food supply.

Anyone into dominoes? That one might be fairly easy to produce, similar to the
card games.

[Audyssey] Does anyone play Second Life? I have questions.

2010-05-26 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, I recently read the latest posting on the audio games.net site, which I
do offten, but this one was about the game Second Life.
Does anyone here play it and does anyone use that new second life text thing
the developers made? How does it work?
Does anyone know how to get past the stupid capta thing you have to type in for
security or do I need to wait for a sighted person to read the 2 words needed
to make sure I get them right?
I wish the sites that have those things would go back to using number sequences
instead.
How accessible is this game and it looks like you can play directly in your
browser, is that right?
I've heard of the game, but didn't think it was accessible at all.
Where do I find the text that tells what the game is about or the point because
I accessed the web link and it seems to be just a registration form thing.
Please any help, advice, or knowledge of this game and its new text
accessibility feature would be appreciated.

[Audyssey] If-Archive games and Winfrotz information

2010-04-07 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, I see a lot of people asking about using winfrotz and the windows agt
translation programs for games from the interactive archive.
I use winfrotz as it has its own sappy speech and you don't need to use a
screen reader. You can download it with a gamepack of near 300 games from the
a href=http://www.whitestick.co.uk/a
Tom's whitestick site
or at another link I have to look up.
If you want more games than what's in the game pack, you can go to the
if-archive and get more games through a specific search criteria that includes
the game code, years you want to search, and so on. You can also go to the list
of if-archive/games and under that you'll find the various game codes like
Inform, Hugo, Glulx and others and choose what format you want and it will
bring up a list of games in that format and just download the ones you want.
Create a folder for the games and each of those written in Inform or Z-code
will open in winfrotz.

If you want to play the glulx games, you'll need the Philpher game engine.
This, however, does not have speech so you'll need to use your screen reader.
If using jaws, set it to speak all mode. This also works if you are running a
version of winfrotz that doesn't have its own speech, the original version I
started with.

[Audyssey] to Miss Wings on mud client

2010-04-05 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, I'll do my best here since I've used vip-mud and mudconnect.com.
First, when you go to the mud connect sitee choose I think it's the 3rd link on
the page something about mud listings and that will give you the choice of
finding a game by name, category, mud code type, or to use the mud connect big
list. I prefer the mud big list since, though it does list every game by
alphabetical order, it does give you a link for the mud home page if it has one
and also tells you if the mud is connected, timed out, or connection refused.
To get the mud port number you should click on the mud game name and it will
bring up another page filled with stats, a brief overview and more. Near the
top, after where it says to log in then to go to the member site, you'll find
the stats and it will show you the game ranking, the code base, when it was
created, and then the site which for example might say
mudconnect.com 5000
that is the address and the port number if this was a real mud game. Some have
long numbers like 6565 98.9.900.22 but you only need the main first numbers for
the port number to enter into the mud client.
Don't click on play now or a connect button as that will think you want to use
telnet and if your running jaws, that's a pain and not worth the time it takes
to use.
Usually, vip-mud wants the character name you want to be, the mud game name,
the mud game site address, and the port number.
Though I've heard the David Greenwood from GMA Games is or was working on an
updated version of the vip-mud client, but its not available yet.

If you're looking strictly for text-based games, you might want browser based
games you can play through your internet browser without downloading a client
or worrying about port numbers.
If you need more help finding either a mud game or browser game, let me know
kind of what you're looking for and I can send along links.
Good luck.
Chastity

chastitymo...@msn.commailto:chastitymo...@msn.com

there are several ways to search for games, one is by name, one is by game
code what its written in, one is by general category like vampires or harry
potter, and the last is through the big mud list where it lists every game in
alphabetical order with its name a www link for the home page and tells you if
the game is connect or timed out or connection refused.

[Audyssey] off topic, web host help question

2010-03-29 Thread Chastity MORSE
Sorry, to post this here, but wasn't sure where else to post this and the
groups for the blind I signed up for haven't gotten back to me.
I need suggestions for easy-to-use web host, lots of storage space, no adds,
unlimited band with, and don't mind paying to get these, also need easy upload
and if I can purchase a domain name at same place, that would be great too.
I've checked out some hosting services and most for an add free site with major
storage space are running in between $5 and $10 U.S. per month, plus the $ 9 or
so domain name fee.
This will also be helpful once I get my game site up and hopefully going, but
currently I have a site with approx. 100 pages of content on all subjects, so
need the space, and pages do include JPEG pictures.
If anyone wants to privately email me with suggestions, see address below and

[Audyssey] to Katy on KJM Games

2010-03-17 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hi Katie. I think this is a good beginning for your games. I do have a couple
of suggestions for you, if you don't mind.
1. might want to add more questions to the computer games puzzle
2. might want to add an email or contact link so people can contact you
directly about games, questions, and suggestions
3. if you're into class studies with topics such as science and math, try
ancient history and you could divide the science into the anatomy you have now,
space questions, endangered species.
4. If you like math problems, try word problem trivia.
5. A question here: what program/engine are you using to make the games and
answers?
Thanks again and if you need any help on research for any trivia games, please
feel free to contact me at:

[Audyssey] turn-based fights in Entoombed

2010-03-17 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hi, I'm not sure if Jason reads these since he's got the official game up and
running now, but I'm wondering if there will be any more work on the turn-based
fights since it seems the game characters get more turns than our created
characters?
Also will the pet always be a wolf?
What about ability points for the pet like speed increase, leather armor
increase, attack increase?

Also, do I have to pay for full version to get the new jobs like shaman?

[Audyssey] to Phil on the upcoming Sarah release

2010-03-17 Thread Chastity MORSE
Just a question now that you've released a preview of the new things in the
game.
If you're going to allow Sarah to have a spell for reducing objects in her
path, then you should have some reason that we need to reduce walls or
something in the way to get somewhere.
Also why make a love spell if there isn't anyone else in the castle except
ghosts and Filch?

Hi, and yes, I'm still working on the C++ code. However, does anyone know of

Someone also mentioned a direct X library and the sappy object library. Does

[Audyssey] question on Apple II code?

2009-12-25 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, the Braillesoft website has put up txt versions of the Apple II code
for such games as The Oregon Trail and others.
1. Does anyone if this old code can be converted to a Windows code to make
the game work to play on windows?
2. Can it be converted to C++, or what would be the best code to use to
transfer this?
3. Once transferred, could it be made accessible for the blind to play since
if I remember right the old game wasn't that graphical and told you how many
bullets, money, oxen and stuff you had left.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chastity

[Audyssey] another game programming question

2009-12-15 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, where can I find a good tutorial for the pygame language that will let
me create something simple to start with?
Will pygame transfer between windows mac platforms or do I need to make two
sets of code for each platform?
Which game types will this support: card games, board games and such?

Also for more complicated games similar to SOD, MOTA, and Q9, will C#.net
work or should I go with C++?
I'm looking to try some sort of shooter adventure game in the future once I
get the hang of game coding.
Will either or both of the C languages work for both Windows and the Mac?
How do I incorporate the Sappy TTS into games or is that sort of built in?
If not, where can I find the code for sappy voices so that the game speaks?

I read that full Python isn't transferable, but so does that mean that
pygame isn't either? So, I'm just guessing here, but then it might be good
to stick with C++ or C#.net instead of any version of python and stay away
from java.

Sorry, this email might be a bit confusing to people. I want to try
something simpole first like a card, matching, board game or simple chase
game. Then, I want to move up to something more complex with enemies and
levels, weapons, and randomness so the game plays different each time you
start it, that part would be similar to MOTA or Entoomed I guess. I want to
find the code and no, I don't mind learning code of most any type as long as
the code has some sort of explanation for what it does or where you might
put each code.

One more thing, can I just start learning code or is there something else I
should start with first?
Any good links for helpful tutorials and things will be appreciated. No, I'm
not looking at java as it seems it isn't very accessible for screen readers
and the full python language is all its own and not part of any of the C
languages, so that might be out, but I don't know if that's true for pygame
as well. So, my options seem to be C++ if its still supported since
Microsoft came out with the C#.net, which is the other option. I also would
like the games to speak for themselves, if possible and that seems to
require some version and code for the Sappy TTS voices.
Thanks to all:
Chastity

wrong with their site or give them the phone number that's up there?
Also, I had added their link to one of my web pages. Should I delete it or

Also is anyone going to host their games like USA Games since they all ready

[Audyssey] re-new game

2009-12-15 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, I visited the site and if this is true, the game could be interesting.
I did send these people an email asking some questions since its obvious
they are from a different country and hey, that's fine, but there a lot of
scams out there, so security is important. I have a really good expensive
security program and it usually allerts me if I visit a site that has weird
stuff and I got no message either on visiting the site or saving the site to
a folder on my computer cause sometimes I'll get a warning message when
saving too.
However, if anyone has looked at the game links link at the bottom of their
page, that lists tons of places that seem to have nothing to do with their
company or accessible games at all. There is no company history, no
copyright information, no security information, basically not much on the
page at all.
No, I didn't download anything and the price says for the full version 20,
but what currency? This is all a bit odd, but I guess we'll see what
happens.

[Audyssey] help finding games for deaf/mtion impaired

2009-12-15 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, I know this is a gaming list and it focuses on the blind and if this
is out of place, please let me know.
Does anyone know of any games that are accessible for the deaf like with
lots of graphics, colors, and captions? Is there any top 10/20 lists around
or archives of such gaming sites?

Also does anyone know if there are any games accessible by people with
motion impairments like ones where single-switch, head-mouse, eye movements
and such can be found?

I think, as far as I know most text-based games like RPG and games from the
if-archive are accessible by the deaf since those are all text based, but
many motion impaired people need to use single-switch mouse or some sort of
other device so typing isn't that easy.
Thanks for any suggestions.

[Audyssey] To Philip on C++

2009-12-15 Thread Chastity MORSE
First, thanks for the links. I'm just wondering on the memory thing. I think
I read somewhere that the programmer has to handle all the memory or
something and code for that? Sorry, if I got that wrong. Also can I create a
simple game with this first before trying more advanced things, just to get
the hang of the code?
As for Sappy, it does work in some games and I like that feature for some
simple games, but I would like to use sound effects and stuff for more
advanced games, though I've checked on prices for music and sounds and its
really expensive on a fixed income.
Thanks again and I'll definitely check out those links.

[Audyssey] Sorry, Thomas, another question, please?

2009-12-15 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, I see the point and it looks like C++ is going to be my best option.
Yes, that code you sent did look a bit complicated, but then I haven't
studied the code as yet. My questions are below and sorry about all this,
but this is all new to me.

1. Can I use the straight C++ and add Sappy later after the main program is
written or should it be included as I write the program?
2. Where do I find this VC++ express that has the Sappy with it and about
how much is that going to run me for cost?
3. In terms of direct X is that included in the ++ languages or where do I
find the code for it or do I just download some sort of link thing to tell
the program it needs this?
4. What, exactly is the first thing I should do? Find a link and tutorial to
study a ++ language?
5. In terms of cost and libraries, exactly what does this mean? I thought I
could just study the code and write everything by hand as I do with
websites? Or, do I need to pay for a ++ license and direct X license and
Sappy license to get this all going?

What do I write the code in? I mean like for websites I write in MS-notepad
and save as html. When I start writing code, do I use notepad again or do I
download something special so I can save it as C++ extension or something.?

I really appreciate all the help and I'm sorry I've so many questions, but I
want to try to get things in the right order the first time so I don't have
to redo stuff, which takes more time.

[Audyssey] response to Thomas game development schedule

2009-12-04 Thread Chastity MORSE
I thought most people understood that development of any kind, especailly
accessible games, takes time in the code writing, the checking, the editing
and all that, not to mention that most people have lives to attend to.
I, personally, didn't know that Raceway and the other were titles you
decided to undertake from someone else, but I do appreciate your efforts in
their development.
I have played the beta version of MOTA, but not raceway.
I feel that as you are the owner and developer of the games, you have the
right to take as much or as little time as you want to work on games or even
ignore the computer entirely for several days.
I totally understand the cost involved in acquiring sounds and background
tracks as I have been looking into such for my own use in web site design.
Such things are, if no one else has checked it out, costly and well above
even the most expensive accessible game produced.
I do web design and I get annoying emails as well on where's more links,
can you add my link, why isn't this page working, and so on. I, too, have a
life, no kids, but pets, foster care animals for the local shelter, personal
activities like sports and reading, and stuff.
I have discovered in just designing web sites that writing xhtml code and
css and learning php is more time consuming than I had realized, so I can
only imagine what designing game code is like and that's something I'm also
checking into.
I do hope you will continue to make progress on the games whenever possible
and don't get to upset by impatient people.
Good luck and happy Christmas.

[Audyssey] question on game creation for game programmers

2009-12-02 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, since I'm learning computer code all ready, mainly for website
development, I'm hoping someone can help me with a question.

What is the best program to stuy for creating accessible games?
Is there a template out there where the game engine is all ready there
either for scroller games, shooter games or others?
Are most games written in python and C++ or what is a good gaming language?
Also where can I go to learn such things on making a game where the
tutorials are fairly easy to understand?

I'm blind and I use jaws 9.0 so I need a site to learn gaming code that's
accessible to screen readers.

If any of the programmers out there can give me any help, site addresses,
and advice, I would appreciate it.
Oh, the only coding I currently know is xhtml and css, but I am willing to
learn if the site explains things and doesn't just put code up there without
explaining what its for or what it does.
Thanks:

[Audyssey] re-piracy rogue angel series?

2009-11-08 Thread Chastity MORSE
Well, this topic seems to be off the topic of games, but I'm lending my
comment here to it anyway. The companies put out movies, music, and books
for people to buy to make money for the company and the artist/author that
originally made the item. As an author myself; I would disagree that I
should allow people to download my book for free and read it without paying
for it because in most cases one would never see any proffit that way. I do
agree that samples of books/music/movies should be available for people to
check out and it is up to them whether to purchase the item or not. As to
the reference on cookies, do you sample them in the store and then leave the
package open? You, woever originally wrote this thing, need to learn to take
risks for that's what life is all about. Most places for electronics such as
music/movies/audio books do have return policies.

Now for the rogue angel series you can find it at, and yes, you need to pay
for it:

[Audyssey] lots of handheld games accessible by vi/blind people

2009-10-29 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, everyone. Here's a list of handheld games that can be played by those
totally blind by following the sounds or those with some sight by following
lights. These can be played by sighted people completely. You can search
amazon or ebay as some are rare and hard to find these days. Most were made
by the Hasbro games company.

Handheld electronic games for the blind

Torx
Bop-it
Bop-it Extreme
Bop it extreme 2
Bop it extreme 3
Bop it blast
Arcade Alley Bop It! Electronic Movin' Groovin' Bop Ball
Rubik's revolution, possibly only sighted players
Rubik's Cube Brain Teaser Puzzle with Helpful Hints
rubik's 4x4 cube
rubik's twist
rubik's cube
rubik's JR
rubik's cube 360
rubik's 5x5 cube
Any of the standard cubes mentioned above can be made to be used by the
blind by marking them with braille for each color or using different
textures. There used to be a cube produced by a company for the blind, but
it isn't available anymore from what I gather through all my searches of the
internet.
Nemesis Factor
Brain Warp
Brain Bash
Fast Fingers
Groove-it
Rock-it
Zing-it
Copycat
k-ball
henry
 bird brain
top it
battleship advance
lightwars, need some vision to play
mind warp
merlin, electronic puzzle game
merlin, the tenth quest
simon trickster
simon stix
simon hand held
simon
simon 2
All Simon games have both lights and sounds so both vi/blind/sighted can
play.
my q brain trainer
my q pocket numbers
my q pocket words
jabberwacky
say what
20q
talking handheld bingo
uno blitzo
Freeze Up

Also you can type in to the amazon edit field the words brain teasers and
you'll get hundreds of those wooden/wire puzzles to try to solve for fairly
cheap too.

[Audyssey] to Bill with the vip-mud and jaws problem

2009-10-26 Thread Chastity MORSE
I didn't get that odd action, but when using lower versions of jaws it kept
getting stuck on me. My best suggestion is to let David Greenwood know at
GMA games since he's the developer and then he can look in to it as he
updates the vip-mud client. I'm using jaws 9 now and the vip-mud is still
slow, but is working.
Good luck.

[Audyssey] mota question and intoomed question

2009-10-19 Thread Chastity MORSE
Okay, first, what's this mota game that everyone's talking about? What's its
web address?

Secon, in the entoomed game I did finally figure out how to buy stuff from
the stores, but I can't seem to use the stuff I bought. I bought a copper
helmet and breastplate and they're in my inventory, but when I try to equip
them to use them; it says I have nothing to put there, like on my head or
torso.
Is this a bug or is there something else I'm supposed to do to use my bought
items?
Thanks, Chastity

[Audyssey] Entoomed question on gold and secondary charactors

2009-10-11 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hi, and possibly this has been answered before, but I'm not sure. I was
using the original version that first came out of the Entoomed game which I
had no problems with at all. Then, I seen there was a later version, 9.5 and
I downloaded it and installed it and now I'm getting error messages like
when I try picking up stuff off the ground; it picks up something else
instead of the item I want and then I get an error.

Anyway, that's a bug that really needs fixing, but that wasn't my main
question.
When my original warrior rescues a person from the dongeon and that
secondary person attains a level it says that person now can have another
job. How do you get into the secondary person's stats to give it a new job?
I've tried everything, but all I can get are the points and stats for my
original person I created at the beginning.

Also in the newer version we can pick up gold pieces. What is the gold for
and where does it go when you pick it up? It isn't listed in the inventory
list so you never know how much you have in the first place. What do I do
with it once I figure out where it is after I pick it up?

How do you allocate skill points? I went down the menu for this action and
it says you can allocate points to armor, swords, heal, and other things,
but it never lets you know if you selected a thing to allocate points to so
you never know if you choose swords if points went to swords after you hit
save changes button?

When is version ten coming out?

Thanks. Any answers would be appreciated.

[Audyssey] re-thought about making accessible trivia game?

2009-09-27 Thread Chastity MORSE
Well, it was a good idea and I thought I'd ask just to see if it was at all
possible. I think I'll email Hasbro anyway. They probably won't even answer,
but hell, it's worth a try anyway.
Thanks

[Audyssey] re-off topic, programming question

2009-09-26 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hi Nick. I'm not sure what you're trying to program, but if you want lessons
in html, xhtml, php, css, SQL, java, and more try:

a href=http://www.w3schools.com;w3schoolsa

For some reason, even though I type the link in correct code, they aren't
working right, so below is what the address is supposed to be if you copy
and paste it.

http://www.w3schools.com

But, I hope the link will work correctly. I've been taking these lessons as
I'm working on building my own website from scratch. At the end of each
lesson is a small quiz of 20 questions to see how well you learnt the
course, but it's up to you if you want to go back and reread the course or
not.
However, if you think you're good enough and might be able to use one for a
job or something in the programming field; you can pay to take the full exam
and get a legitimate certificate for css, xhtml, and others.

I hope this helps a bit. Good luck.

[Audyssey] Anyone thought of doing an accessible handheld trivia game?

2009-09-26 Thread Chastity MORSE
Hi.
This question is for all the game makers/programmers out there and I'm not
one, sorry.
I was browsing through the web last night because I learnt about some
accessible hand held games that were originally produced by the Hazbro
company.
Hazbro has an electronic hand held trivia game available right now. Plus you
can download questions to the unit.
Is there any way possible to contract with Hazbro to put voice chips in
those games so blind people could play them?
Or contact them to see if it can be done by one of our programmers to make
the games accessible?
Maybe, someone could buy one and take a look at it and see if something like
this is even attemptable to try.

Anyway, just thought I'd ask because trivia is questions and answers and not
graphics.

[Audyssey] tads games with jaws

2009-09-07 Thread Chastity MORSE
I do know that the tads games will work with jaws, but you need the wintads
interpreter. This is not self-voicing and you set jaws to the read all
command, the insert S key stroke. Then, you read the game using jaws. I know
philfer does not work with tads games, only glulx and Z-code games.

[Audyssey] MOOs and MUD RPG questions

2009-09-06 Thread Chastity MORSE
I don't know if anyone plays these kinds of games, but I have a couple of
questions.
I know about vip-mud client and have that installed and know about the
website where there are hundreds of mud games to choose from.
My question is what is a MOO game?
What do I need to run a MOO game?
Is there a site that lists MOO games or does anyone know of any I can try?
Will the MOO games work on mud client or is there a better engine I should
use?

Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone played the browser-based Legendary Tales text RPG games?

However it also calls these games muds, so do I need a mud client to play
