Re: [Audyssey] Amo checking was:Q9 version 1.1 released!

2009-11-25 Thread Simon Jaeger, Laptop Edition

Apologies if i'm getting to this a little later than I would like.

From the manual, section 4:
You are automatically equipped with the club from the beginning. To change
weapon, use the number keys 1, 2 and 3. 1 is the Large wooden club, 2 is the
slingshot and 3 is the Deus Shield. ... You may also press the alt key to
quickly switch between the weapons, which is good when you are hard pressed
in a battle and need to activate a Deus Shield

at lightning speed for example.
To hear how much ammunition you have left for a particular weapon, select it
either with one of the number keys or the alt key and then press A.

Hope this helps.

One is a humeristik Dice program. Get it from here:

Its for some programmers that are just starting out with AutoIT.
Then we have another thing, called High and Low. Its just a guessing game,
without points and stuff, because its in its first beta stage, but also with
source code, open source.
The link is:

All are completely done by me, with verry little help from Peter Mahacz,

So, have fun playing, or using, and looking and modifying the source code.

I believe that there are Morse code trainers that do exactly what you're
looking for. The speed of what you hear can be regulated so that you can
practice or improve your sending and receiving of code for different ham
radio licenses. However, unfortunately, the learning of Morse code is no
longer a requirement for obtaining even a novice license. You may be able
to find just such an animal through the use of a search engine. I think it
would be a fun little tool to have on your PC, but I would not consider it
to be a game. More of a utility, maybe? JMO.

Hey Liam, that sounds like good news from here man!

Can you, without going into specifics that might assist the evil-doers
obviously, say anything about measures that are in place with your new
system to prevent piracy?
I ask following a bit of a dispute I've had with GMA Games more out of
curiosity than anything, because a user based system seems like a way better
idea from a player's angle, so if more devs switched to it it'd make me a
happy chappy.

One of the major complaints that gamers have had is that all of
LWork's games use a machine-based licensing system. This system was
originally written to discourage piracy. In theory, it was a great
system, but leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to ease of
registration. So I'm announcing that today, all future titles from
LWorks will use a user-based licensing system. My plan is to release
an updated version of Judgment day some time this month that will use
this user-based system. There will be no more machine-based codes,
and no need to constantly email support for new codes. I'm hoping
that this will help gamers overall who don't want to have to wait to
get replacement keys. there will also be a few other small features that
will be in the next release, so stay tuned.

Subject: [Audyssey] Sarah game infringes J.K. Rowling’s copyright

Just in: After four months of deliberating, Judge Robert Patterson has ruled
that the Sarah and the castle of witchcraft and wizardry game infringes J.K.
Rowling’s copyright in the Harry Potter series.

According to the AP, Judge Patterson granted an injunction, ruling that
Rowling had proven that PCS Game’s “Sarah and the castle of witchcraft and
wizardry” would cause her irreparable harm as a writer.

The suit, filed late last year against PCS Games, an independent game
developing company in Michigan, alleged that plans by Michigan-based game
developer PCS Games to sell a game, Sarah and the castle of witchcraft and
wizardry, who's Web site that serves as a rather daunting compendium of all
games for the blind, violated Warner and Rowling’s copyright and takes away
the future market for a similar game that Rowling and Electronic Arts plans
to develop.

Here’s the opinion.

Judge Patterson ruled in Rowling’s favor because the “Sarah game
appropriates too much of Rowling’s creative work for its purposes.” He also
wrote that, “While the Sarah game, in its current state, is not a fair use
of the Harry Potter works, games that share the Sarah game’s purpose of
aiding blind game players of being able to play a Harry Potter game
generally should be encouraged rather than stifled.”

Ethan Horwitz, an IP lawyer at King Spalding, told the Law Blog: “What
Judge Patterson is saying is that when you look at fair use, one of the
dominant issues is, are you providing commentary or taking the value of the
work and selling it as your own? He decided that the value of the work was
being taken, that [Rowling] had the ability to develop the kind of game that
PCS Games was putting out, and that she’d indicated an intent to do so.”

Phil

Re: [Audyssey] dark destroyer

2009-03-18 Thread Simon Jaeger
I just manually did a find and replace, something about if reg== and
replaced it with 0001 ... can't remember, it was years ago that I did it,
and the patch worked fine for me when I used it. If you play with
c:\windows\tj.js you should be able to just crack it from there.

Sure wish the tj patch worked for me. I can't remember what it does when I
try to run it, but I do remember that it doesn't work lol.
