Re: [Audyssey] Monkey Business on the Laptop?

2007-12-30 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi,

yes, I would be very interested in a laptop layout for the game. I only have
a laptop available and it would be great to be able to play the game with a
keyboard layout for it.

I hope that this feature will be included in the game.

Greetings
Sarah

Re: [Audyssey] Monkey Business on the Laptop?

2007-12-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
As both a paid user of Monkey Business and a laptop user a laptop
keyboard would be very very nice. As it is now the game is a little
difficult to play on my laptop computer.
I can play it, but finding the proper keys is nowhere as easy as it is
on a full sized desktop keyboard.

I would say that, if it weren't too much work, you might add it as an option

Press fn and M at the same time and that will simulate an insert. For
that matter, pressing fn turns the right side of the alphabet keyboard
into a number pad. You can google around for the keyboard layout
exactly, but basically the M is the zero key, jkl are 123, uio are 456,
and 789 are 789 as if it was a number pad. All while holding down the fn
key which if the laptop is a good one, will be located at the bottom
left edge of the keyboard. I've seen laptops which don't have it here
and I've not purchased them for that exact reason. Of course, you can
always get an external USB foldable keyboard or a USB floppy keyboard
which you can roll up, spit on, throw up on, or lick if you choose, and
 it will still work.

 Good luck.

Hi,
Also you can always buy an external usb number pad which are pretty
inexpensive additions for laptops. I always carry one in my laptop case
at all times for just a case as we are talking about. Using the fn key
is a quick fix, but not always practical.

I should note that laptops only have a fn or footnote key.
mine is just to the left of the alt key inbetwene the control and alt keys.
Desktop keyboards do not have this because of a numpad to the right of the
board as with laptops the numpad is overlayed.

game installed are now dead. Anyway, yesterday I was feeling rather
nostalgic and so I downloaded the MB demo. I have but one problem. as we
all know, the key for quickly turning to face the opposite direction is
the Numpad Insert key, otherwise known as Zero. Well, most laptops, mine
included, don't have such a key. Is there an alternate keystroke for that
function or, failing that, a way to somehow configure the keyboard?
Thanks for any help you can give me. I really enjoyed this game and would
love to get back into it, but my only computer right now
 is the laptop.

2007-12-24 Thread dark
On my laptop the Fn key is next to the left ctrl. the only thing is, in
Monkey business, I've found holding down fn and searching for the M key is
slightly too much trouble, though I'm not that great at Mb to begin
with, so this might not make too much difference overall.

 Good luck.

Your laptop means nothing to me since I've never had one. But I can
assure you, all laptops have an fn key. It's just a matter of where it
is. You can always hit the laptop insert key which is definitely on the
keyboard once you know where it is.

Hi,
First, I don't know if I'm reading the web site wrong, but the Monkey
Business download is not a demo, you can't play it without registering? How
is MB, is it a fun game? Another thing, has anyone ever tried one of those
online virtual pet sites, are any accessible? I don't know if it was just
me, but do you guys remember tamagochis? Because of the sounds and beeps,
many of them were actually very accessible! I actually still have one!

That is unfortunately correct. Draconis no longer offers a demo of
Monkey Business all thanks in part to one of the unscrupulous members in
our community who tried to pirate the game in a public forum, and as a
result Josh decided to not offer the demo any longer.
As for the game I think you might enjoy it. As I have heard the first
level, the lab, wasn't so good, but some of the other levels were pretty
good such as the jungle, the ancient Aztec temple, the wild West, Surf
Turf, etc. I've also heard the ledges level is a royal pain in the
bottom, and is quite challenging. Though, Monkey Business is widely
regarded as pretty good by players on this list.

Replacing it would be less expensive than buying it again. I would think
you could download it, then contact Draconis for a key. Also, you know you
would be getting the most recent version.

Hey Bryan. If they can find your original record, I think you can get a
replacement key for around $5 if I remember. This holds true even if you
 purchased from ESP or Adora.

Bryan Peterson said the following on 8/8/2007 12:42 PM:
Ah yes, GNR. A favorite band of mine. As for Monkey Business I actually
wrote a walkthrough for it a while back but I never got around to sending
 it
to AudioGames.net, then my desktop PC died. Of course I'd probably have
 to
repurchase MB since I bought it from Adora and not Draconis. In any case,
 I
lost my key, so I'd probably have to replace it anyway.

Seems to me like there is a file in the monkey business folder that gives
hints. You can also check for walk throughs at

Hello, does anyone know of a place to get a monkey business walk
through, or is that just not in creation yet because I'm desperate for
one! I suck at monkey business! However, I like hard games, so I wont
vie up; just places where I get stuck sometimes if there's a
 walkthrough somewhere...

Hi,
The latest Monkey Business is free to registered players. You don't need
to pay for it.

1.5 to 1.6 they could send me because I can't find it on the draconis

Just install the newest version. If you have already paid for it you
need not pay for it again. Who gave you that idea? smile.

Where did you get the idea that you would have to buy it again. Look at the
information on the site

www.draconisentertainment.com

and it will clearly give you all registration information.
