2016-06-05 Thread dark

Hi Dorothy.

Thanks for the congratulations. Actually, internet isn't a problem. If
things work the same way they did when I was over there for Christmas, I
could use my soon to be wife's sister's wifi network with no problem, I
could go online, play muds, even receive emails. The only weerd thing is
that sending mail just plane didn't.

I don't know why, since the server for one of my mail addresses (this one),
is located in texus as it's administered by a friend. I have no idea why at
all, it's nuts. Maybe there is something I can set in outlook express to fix
thingss, I'll have to look into that when I'm done, but just in case it
doesn't get sorted, I thought I'd appologise for potentially being off the
grid for such a long while.

All the best,

Dark.

Hello Dark :
Good luck on your wedding. I just wanted to let you know that ATT has a
internet thing like a flash drive that you pay about 30 dollars a month
for your internet. Probably Verizon has it , too. You most likely be
able to get your internet just fine over here in America.

Hi Thomas,

Yeah, Ohio is in the eastern time zone. I don't think that it changes to
Central until somewhere in Indiana or Illinois. I have not been able to see a
map for a long time, so it seems weird to me, but part of Florida is in the
Central time zone. I'm sure that it is just part of the pan handle though.

Hi Jim,

Yes, Indiana is in the central time zone. I should know since I was
there several years ago for a summer camp. I remember the driver
telling us when we crossed the Ohio and Indiana boarder to set our
watches back an hour as we were now in the central time zone. So I
believe the change in time zones is somewhere around the Ohio and
Indiana boarder.

Cheers!

Dark,
Jim is in the central time zone. That means he is six hours EARLIER
than you. So if you call at 6:00 PM, it would be noon for him.

For various reasons I've actually just got a phone deal that lets me ring a
hole bunch of countries internationally for a very low rate, so I'd be
tempted to phone Jim myself and ask how he's doing accept that I am not sure
what timezone Jim is in relative to the Uk (and no knowing it is mountain or
pacific or desert or whatever else the Americans call those things doesn't
help too much without the actual relation to gmt), so have a nasty feeling I
might wind up waking him up in the middle of the night which wouldn't make
him a happy fellow :D.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Hi Eleanor,

A correction. Jim is in the U.S. Eastern time zone the same as myself.
We both live in Ohio and it is in the U.S. eastern time zone. So
depending on if it is daylight savings time it is between 4 and 5
hours behind GMT.

Cheers!
