I've had issues running BSC's games on Windows 10 but haven't tried a
virtual machine yet.

I haven't played with muds for a year or so now but if I remember
correctly you can play other muds with the mush client which has a
screen reader mode that works with Jaws and NvDA.

The alter aeon client you want is yes, mush-z, and it will run fine on win10.
