Hi Charles,
Quite right. When learning to program or to target an unknown platform
you really do have to learn to walk before you can run. Smile

Hi William,
Yes, that is one of the games under concideration for cross platform
conversion using Java. The more i look at what needs to be done it would
be actually more rational to convert the game to Java making the
changes, bug fixes, as I convert the code from C# to Java.
As it happens I
Hi Kuvvosh,
Well, one question I have about Mobile Speak is how well does it handle
Java applications. For example, how well does it do with Java dialog
boxes written using the swing API. There are some things like the
registration form that would need to be accessible to Mobile Speak.

Hello Thomas!
About what game do you talk?
About raceway?

Hi Claudio,
Well, my research into Java based audio games would apply to all of my
future games, but specificly at the moment my primary research is about
porting Mysteries Of The Aztecs to a Java platform so that it can be
operating system independant.
I do think however it would be very cool
Hi,
Well, at the moment my primary focus is still on PC games and Windows
games since that is still the largest section of users of accessible
games, and Java access issues and solutions on Mac, Windows, and Linux
for me is solvable.
For example, I recently discovered a new Window toolkit for
Hi,
It is possible. Raceway has the basic engine in place, and it isn't at
all impossible to port it to Java and then make it run on Mac, Linux,

steering wheels etc as well as force feedback.
what features of raceway were you commenting on?…

Indeed I have. There is a link to JInput on the USA Games dev center

which takes you directly to the JInput home page.
Anyway, I am not as concerned over joysticks, force feedback wheels, etc

Hi Shaun,
Ok? your message didn't make a lot of sense. The Symbion OS is the
primary operating system for smart phones, cellular devices, etc. I can
think of some brands like Nokia that uses Symbion almost exclusively in
there cellular devices. So obviously an accessible game to run on Nokia
Ah Thomas, you can see I've visited the website lately! lol!
anyway, very cool and I'd forgotten about SAPI as an issue, but I
too, would think there's got to be some sort of reasonable work around
as you suggest.

Cara :)
