firstly, I'd suggest you join the otteasy list to post questions like this

I assume by the display name you mean the one displayed in the E-mail,
the same way it says dark on mine.
this is done separately for each E-mail account you might have running in
outlook express, when i use my private E-mail address, the name does not
come up as dark for example.
go to the tools menue, and enter the accounts item.
You'll now be in a property sheet with various boxes. In the first box,
select the account you wish to change the name for, then tab across to the
properties button.
You'll now be in the property sheet for that account with information such
as E-mail address two boxes in, you'll find the box which says name
along with various others, type what you want in there then tab across to
the okay button.
