the purpose of Rock Band 3 is to... well, to rock out. lol. if you've heard of guitar hero, then it's the same idea. you have plastic instrument controllers that you use to simulate an actual guitar, drums, keyboard, and vocals. well the mic is a real USB mic lol. where RB3 is concerned, there's now a pro mode where one can play real instrument parts. if you play and you miss a note, the instrument stem cuts out and you hear this awesome clunking sound. if you continue to fail, you'll get booed offstage and that won't be good. the games are for the ps3, xbox 360, and wii.
