I think one of the major reasons why XP had to die was to make room for a
better OS architecture supporting 64-bit CPUs and based on a more
leightweight kernel, giving Win Vista and its successors a speed
advantage. Ok, i wouldn't want to glorify Vista by any means. *grin*
