Re: [Audyssey] Castaways and making armor and other items.
Actually john, hunters will bring in meat whether or not you have a butcher, it's just that a butcher A, increases the amount from each kill and B, gives you fir which can be spun into yarn by your peasants and then woven into cloth by your taylor. Peasants will bring the fur to a textile, where they will turn it into yarn. From there, a Taylor takes over and creates cloth. Metal bars require metal ore which is gotten through a mine. A metallurgist then takes the metal ore and turns it into bars. I personally find it quite handy to only assign a metallurgist, and let him/her mine the ore and then turn it into metal, this way, you only have to use one person for the entire project. A note, hunting will produce meat even without a butcher shop, but you don't get the furs without one. yes, but a butcher will also give more meat pr hunters' kill as well, that's why it's useful to have one even if you don't have a tayler. Beware the grue! [Audyssey] Castaways and making armor and other items.
Hi list. How do I make armor and other items? I've built at least one of everything in the build list, and assigned what I thought was the appropriate workers and I don't get anything new to build. Thanks in advance for any help. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] Castaways and making armor and other items.
In order to get armor and swords, you need miners mining ore from a mine, transporting it to the forge, where a metallurgist makes it into metal bars, then a blacksmith makes the bars into armor. It's the most complex production in the game. Re: [Audyssey] Castaways and making armor and other items.
You don't make armour. You need two bars in the forge, and the blacksmith will make them, but make certain your not trying to build a guard tower or barracks at the same time sinse otherwise you'll never get to the two bars needed. Actually the blacksmith might need some tweaking, sinse getting it to work reliably isn't easy, however you should find armour created so long as you have the metal in the forge. Beware the Grue! Re: [Audyssey] Castaways and making armor and other items.
Hi Rick, To build something like armor you need a forge and at least one mine. Then , yu need a miner to mine the ore, a blacksmith to make the armour, and a metaligist to convert the ore into metal bars. Also you will need at least one peasant to deliver ore to the forge from the mines. If You are missing anything in that chain you might not be able to create the item in question or it will take longer for the person to take up the job of the secondary task. Making something like bread is similar. You need a wheat farm, a mill, and a baker's shop. You'll need a farmer to harvest the wheat, a peasant to grind the wheat into flower and deliver it to the baker's shop, and a baker to bake the bread. A lot of this depends on peasants to do the grunt work of carrying and transporting raw materials to and from one site to another, or converting materials into a form the specialist can use. Classic case of this is having peasants run the wheat mill to grind the wheat into sacks of flower before delivering it to the baker. On 7/14/11, Rick twelvestring...@verizon.net wrote: Hi list.
