Re: [Audyssey] Flight simulator 2004 question

2011-08-15 Thread Trouble

Would get FSX and then use the software at,
http://www.itsyourplane.com
Once you have the flight sim installed another program will be needed
to use the its your plane software. That software is called FSUIPC4
and can get it from,

http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html
Now that is installed you can install its your plane.
The support forms are good for help and the programmer will answer
all questions.

First of all, up grade to Flight simulator ten or better known as FSX.
Then go check out the program It's Your Plane from
www.itsyourplane.com
Just to let you know, there's a up grade coming out sometime next year about
fsx.

Re: [Audyssey] Flight simulator

2011-04-28 Thread Tj Squires

Hi,

it is possible for us to play some aspects of it. We can't, for
example, fly online with friends due to the lack of air trafic control.
More out there than I would probably know if that is false, however. I
play it every now and again for the offline flights.

You will need a copy of flight simulator, no earlier than 2002, the
FSUIPC program and it's your plane.

http://itsyourplane.com has all the confiiguration details.

Keep in mind, though, this isn't actually a game in the sense of the
word, but, a simulator.

Cheers,

[Audyssey] flight simulator 2004

2009-06-19 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Folks,
I have added the following links to my games page:
The Blind Pilots Project using flight simulator 2004 .
This is a complecated but accurate flight simulator that requires the
purchase of sevaral pieces of software including

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.
You can get this program from Amazon for about $27.49 US.
Robert Cezar's It's Your Plane.
A Flight Simulator Voice Controller to Control FS2004 Simulation
It has new features that aid the blind pilot.
the It's Your Plane Cessna 172 Version - is FREE.
The registered Base Pack version is about $58.03 US
It will let you TALK to the sim (via your co-pilot Michelle
who will hear you, AND reply, and will UNDERSTAND what you want!
IYP will allow your co-pilot to actually FLY the aircraft, following YOUR
spoken commands

The Base Pack works for the default MS Boeings 737, 747 and 777

Hello Nick,

I've noticed there is a lot of discussion about FS 2002. While I know it

Reason i ask is that I am using Vista and Windows 7 Beta on my computers

you have any current news, good news, for those who are trying to get

Hello Thomas,
Unfortunetly, FSX will not work with jaws. I’ve heard that it takes a
lot to get it to run on any computer. You need a screaming processor.
Anyway, beyond that, I saw a request for a link the the BCT chat room.
To find the page where you can enter the room, click the following

You can also download the tiny plugin you will need there.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
Once again, that’s tomorrow night at 6 PM pacific, 9 PM eastern, 1 UTC

See you there!

[Audyssey] flight simulator

2009-04-08 Thread Nick Helms
Hello fellow gamers,
I am pleased to announce that after about 7 months of hard effort,
Aaron Hoffman, John Sanders, and I have found a way to make Microsoft
flight simulator 2002 fully accessable to the blind.
Thanks to Scott Shade for giving us the idea and getting us in to
simming and for letting us know that this could be done! We are going
to do a podcast to demonstrate how flight simulator can be used. But
we were thinking of doing it live in a room powered by the TC
conference softwear.
We would use the BCT chat room because it doesn’t get much traffic,
but I don’t know if the owner would be ok with that. Any ideas?
So basicly what we would do is do a live podcast and then take
questions after our demo, but we’d also record it and put it up for
download as an mp3.
So for those who have always wanted to get using Microsoft flight
simulator, you’ll be able to.
We have been able to make the program accessable, as well as the
online network vatsim.
All this and more will be explained in the podcast; also your
questions will be taken. We’re still trying to work out a date to do
this podcast, as it will take a while to demo everything and our lives
are fairly busy. But it will happen soon and I will announce on this
list when we’ll be having it just as soon as we find a time that works
for the 3 of us.
If you have any questions, ideas, comments, please write back to this
or contact me off-list or on skype.

although to start the cast times from 2 pm up to 12 am would be accessible

This is because most of this goes through the day.

2009-04-08 Thread Thomas Ward

Hello Nick,

I've noticed there is a lot of discussion about FS 2002. While I know it
is the most accessible at this point do you know of any progress with FS X?
Reason i ask is that I am using Vista and Windows 7 Beta on my computers
here at home and neither of those can run FS 2002. So I was wondering if
you have any current news, good news, for those who are trying to get
beyond Windows Xp era software and use the current stuff?

Thanks.

2009-04-08 Thread Nick Helms
Hello Thomas,
Unfortunetly, FSX will not work with jaws. I’ve heard that it takes a
lot to get it to run on any computer. You need a screaming processor.
Anyway, beyond that, I saw a request for a link the the BCT chat room.
To find the page where you can enter the room, click the following
link.
http://www.conference321.com/masteradmin/room.asp?id=rs12e65f29fafa
You can also download the tiny plugin you will need there.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
Once again, that’s tomorrow night at 6 PM pacific, 9 PM eastern, 1 UTC
in the blind cool tech chat room!
See you there!

However, it is very much in development right now. The current demo has

releases the full demo.

Well actually Flight Simulator isn't accessible. I have a copy of it

this is where the accessibility ends. You don't know whether your
airplane is flying or not, you don't know the height and speed of your
airplane and you don't know in which part of the world you actually
are... My suggestion: return the game if it's still possible and get
some other audio games. But anyway, where can I download Scott's

Hello!
Thanks for the link. I just listened to the first section and am really
impressed! As I said before, I have a copy of Flight Simulator 2002
myself. However, when I played it I just used to fly around somewhere in
the nowhere, I hope I was even flying lol... And well I had fun just
crashing my airplanes which wasn't to hard, they always crashed when I
changed the reality level to high or something. Well since I'm really
into flying and even was able to fly the (real) flight simulator of the
German Lufthansa airline, I'd really love to talk to Scott on Skype to
go through the process of setting it up, creating a flight plan and,
most importantly, flying! Scott, I think you are on this list as well.
Do you think that would be possible?

this is where the accessibility ends. You don't know whether your
airplane is flying or not, you don't know the height and speed of your
airplane and you don't know in which part of the world you actually
are... My suggestion: return the game if it's still possible and get
some other audio games. But anyway, where can I download Scott's
 podcast?
 Robin

[Audyssey] Flight Simulator 2 podcast

2007-11-05 Thread Phil Vlasak
Flight Simulator 2
http://www.blindcooltech.com/
11/3/2007 Scott Shade

takes you through the menus of Flight Simulator 2002, handles some rough
weather, explains FS Navigator, designs a flight plan, and demonstrates the
sounds
(in stereo) of three aircraft (crashing two of them in the process.
) 75.3 MB

I really liked the sounds of the aircraft and would love to play this
simulator but only if it was much more accessible.
It is not easily available and is not free.

It would be a great game for one of the blind game programmers to tackle!
Knock, knock,

[Audyssey] flight simulator?

2007-10-31 Thread Timberwolf
Hi,

With all the emails, I didn't really get a chance to check them all, being gone
for quite a while, but what I picked up was that flight simulator was being
talked of quite a bit; does anyone have any idea where I could get it, and FS
navigator, and is it free?

E-mail me privately if this is off-topic.

thanks-

Re: [Audyssey] flight simulator?

2007-10-31 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi. This is not off topic. However, the simulator is not free. The
unfortunate thing is that finding it is difficult unless you can find
someone who is selling their copy. Recently there has been discussions
on this list concerning distributing the simulator on the Internet. The
excuse was that since it's no longer sold, then it was ok to do so. In
fact, since it's not freeware or in the public domain, this is not legal
and any illegal discussions on list are not permitted.

So in short, talking about the simulator is on topic, but talking about
how to get it illegally is off topic.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tyler,
Flight Symulator 2002 and FS Navigator are not free. Do to the fact
Flight Symulator 2002, the most accessible version, isn't being sold any
more you can probably find a copy at Ebay, a yard sale, or some other
place that sells old and used software.
As for the FS Navigator add on for FS 2002 and FS 2004 you can purchase
it from
http://www.fsnavigator.com
for $45.00 US.

Hth.

Re: [Audyssey] flight simulator?

2007-10-31 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
I'd like to add to what Raul said. While we both understand the
difficulties in obtaining Flight Simulator 2002 we won't support illegal
distribution of the product. The last two listers that tried that were
removed from this list until such time as they have changed their minds
about piracy on list. Neither of us like taking list privileges away
from listers, but neither will we stand idle as someone steels and
illegally distributes software.
So any discussion about Flight Sym as far as this list is concerned
should be about actual play, how to get it legally, but no illegal
activity will be allowed.
Smile

the same is for plane control, so f9 is good for you.

if this is limited to U.S. versions of jaws or not cause I'm told that One
of the people that takes part in a virtual airline is using jaws. There is
a bit of a language barrier that I have to work around so communication
isn't totally clear but, I'm trying to get resolutions to the disappearing
fs navigator window in jaws for example. Also in talking with maricio, I
found that they don't use the regular keyset that is listed in the manual
for flightsim for doing their flying. The more I learn, the more questions
I'm left with. The challenges of trying something knew I suppose. There is
for example a pop up menu that is supposed to give an option that will force
fs navigator to fill the screen and take up the entire space available to
it. I can't seem to figure out a way to get access to this menu yet. I
rather suspect that if I can solve this rather annoying problem, that could
vary well fix the jfw disappearing fs nav window as getting everything, and
I do mean everything flight sim, and fs nav as big as you can make it tends
to make everything work the way it should. Ah, yes and I see the question
coming now alt dash doesn't work for this, and if you use alt space it only
works on the flight sim window. If I knew the propper file to go in and
edit I could put a value in that would in theory force load it in a
maximized state. Then there wouldn't be any problems here.
Recommendations, suggestions? I'm running out of options. I'll try to get
with Maricio and see if I can clarify things a bit. However, I'm almost at
the end of my technical rope here. Grins. Take care all,
Scott

Hi Scott and all,
H. That's wierd. Where did you get your version of fs2002? Email me off
list, or message me on MSN if you have to. What is in Portuguese spicificly?
The docs? The whole game? Just in-game message boxes? I have a version of
Microsoft Flight Simulater 2002 installed that is English. MSN me or Wagner
if you need it.

Hello all. I'm hoping that someone on this list can help me out with this
as I'm really up a creek without a paddle. I'm trying to get more
information on fs2002 and making it more accessible. I know there is tons
of more information out there for me to take a look at and probably more
support options as well. There's just one problem, the text is all in
Portuguese. Is there any web page translation software out there or is
there something I can do in windows that will do a rough conversion of the
page to English? Its so frustrating to have the information at your
fingertips and not be able to use it. If anyone can help, I'd be most
 grateful. Thanks much,

If anyone can help, I'd be most
  grateful. Thanks much,
  Scott

[Audyssey] flight simulator for Sean

2007-09-24 Thread Michael Maslo
Hi Sean:

To install the fs uic or whatever the exact file name you need to copy the
.dll file into the fs 2002 modules folder. That is all it takes. Then well
the pm sounds is something I am not sure if you have to run or if it will
run by itself.

Meaning. After you have created the data base, started fs 2002 I am not sure
if you have to load pm sounds first then fs 2002 or if pm sounds will run
once fs 2002 run. I have to get a keyboard to see if it will work. I will
try that tomorrow.

 Hi, about microsoft flight simulator:

I'm a pilot of a virtual varig airline in Brazil and I'm blind.

At first, escuse me, because my english isn't very good.
I hope that you can understand me.

To begin, is needed remember that flight simulator is not a game, it is
a program to training future pilots of aircraft and its aim is make all
 procedures of one flight correctly.

Begining the user can operate the aircraft in full automatic, to after
 learn fly manually.

One program most used to comunication with the airtrafic controlers with
voice is the team speak, and have many servers in all languages in all
 world.

The flight simulator originally is not acessible, but using some
programs the blinds can control the airplanes of departure airport in
gate, going to taxiways, runway, and take off, after programing the
autopilot, make all route, and touchdown in destination airport.

The best version to use with screen readers is flight simulator 2002 and
can find it in programs as for example emule, shareaza, kazaa, and
 others, because it isn't bought.

But the flight simulator isn't to persons that like to play, it is to
fall in love to aviation, and frustrates whom thinks it is only a game.

But this is needed many studies of theories of aviation, to after install
 the programs listed below.

 fs navigator
 www.fsnavigator.com

this program makes the flight plan, and control the speed, altitude,
vertical speed, aprouch, backcourse... all comands of airplane are
 controled by fs navigator.

other program is project magenta sounds.
 www.projectmagenta.com

the project magenta sounds includes the voice alerts of the G.P.W.S.
ground position warning system, that informs altitude and alerts when we
 are near of ground.

 FSUIPC.DLL
 HTTP://www.schiratti.com
this dll is required to project magenta sounds, and have many facilities
to make hotkeys with for example I use + or - of the numeric pad, for
increase or decrease value of vertical speed, and I was configured the
ctrl+shift+m to activate the sounds of localizers when is in final aprouch
to touchdown in airports that have aprouching with ILS, and the shift+.
(dot) to arm autobrake after touchdown.

in the website www.avsim.com you can download new aircrafts, panels,
sounds, cenery, tutorials and programs to flight simulator.

 in
 www.airliners.net
you find data about all models of aircrafts.

 and in
 HTTP://worldaerodata.com
you can find all informations about all airports in the world, including
icao codes and information about the runways.

to finish, read the page of Miles Hilton Barber, the first blind that
piloted the real airplane from England to Australia, the homepage is
 www.mileshilton-barber.com

 more informations, contact-me.

 regards.
