Watch out for anti virus or internet protection. I had major problems in getting mine installed but I use vista anyways. However the major part or problem which is wrong even after you get the dependencys installed vista does not like the scripts. Don't use monkeyterm. I had the same problems and someone else I know have the same problems. I have made scripts or sound pack using vip mud. you may want to consider an alernative client. I believe mush client works under windows vista, but I have no knowledge of that. any muds can have sounds. it's all abou tmaking triggers for each individual thing. I'm honestly not sure why it would be telling you invalid user name as soon as you connect. Any mud has the potential to have sound packs set up for it. The events trigger on things that happen on screen so say you see something like "ship explodes" you could assign an explosion sound to that text. Thats a basic example. And if you use the jaws cursor, it's been saying invalid username and password before you type anything in--at least that is what it did for me and that was after I entered the connection manually because clicking on the session didn't do anything.
