it sounds like you've got the game showing ascii maps. type settings to see
what settings you've got, and you can for instance turn maps of (I believe
the command is set mapsoff but I'm not sure).
Generally mm is a game I've tried to get into on several occasions, sinse
for a mud it's got a lot going for it, however I just find myself becoming
frustrated with the timed quests, and the way certain game rewards are only
open at certain times, nevertheless it is one of the better muds out there.
