Re: [Audyssey] Notes from Draconis Entertainment: Behind the Veil
Wow! sounds great. I do have one question. Will the new versions of classic games be available to people who already have licenses, or will they be more along the lines of what Esp pinball Xtreme was to esp pinball classic. Speaking of Pinball, I deffinately hope more tables are on the way! Finally, i was also wondering if you'd considder adding some more navigation options into Monkey business, such as a surrounding objects scan and perhaps fine tune the object detection a bit. I really like the audio in the game, but there's no denying I'm pretty terrible at it (I've never actually got passed the jungle level), and perhaps some more navigation aides ala Sarah and the castle of Witchcraft and Wizardry would certainly help. First, if you've tried to contact us in recent weeks and not received a response, or have placed an order and not yet received your registration key, our web host has been having some significant problems with our email servers. We were not aware of the existence of these problems, nor the extent to which they were effecting us, until recently, as email would sometimes be fine, and other times get lost in the ether. Please contact us again if you're still waiting for a response. Chances are, our reply or your original message was a casualty. We believe that our web host has corrected the problem. For quite some time, we've been developing new tools and techniques for the future of accessible gaming. The fruits of those efforts are coming together at long last, and we will have new games to release in short order. What can you expect to see from Draconis Entertainment? The following are some of our plans. They are subject to change. 1. All future game titles will be fully cross-platform for both Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista. Versions of the games for both operating systems will always be released simultaneously. 2. Our first new release will be a freebie game, available to all on the web site. 3. Following the freebie game, we will be releasing both brand-new titles, as well as entirely rewritten versions of our classic games which will take advantage of our new gaming engines and be cross- platform for Mac and Windows. These releases will be staggered between new games and new versions of old games. 4. New versions of old games will be substantially enhanced from previous versions with tons of new features, audio, and in many cases new modes of game play, or entirely new sub-games. 5. We expect new game releases to come much more quickly, now that the framework for the future has been designed and is well underway. We hope to avoid problems like those experienced under Vista. More soon, and thank you for sticking with us during this time of transition. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. Hi, I for one am glad to see Draconis step up to the plate and take cross-platform games seriously. Mac OS X is rapidly starting to get some attention from the blind community, and it will be nice to know that Mac games are on their way. Eventually, I also plan to do some cross platform games myself, but I have not been to successful at it thus far. Perhaps once Draconis releases there cross platform games I can get a few pointers on what all was involved in going full cross platform. Re: [Audyssey] Notes from Draconis Entertainment: Behind the Veil
I'm hard of hearing, but I do know a cheat that can allow you to stick to the professor on the lab level. But maybe his whistling could be improved or something so that people with hearing impairment can complete the level without using any cheats, which we shouldn't really be using anyway. Just my thoughts. For the cheat code, I would ask you write to mee off list unless you really find the lab level extremely difficult. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] skype: chrishallsworth7266 klango: chrishallsworth - Original Message - From: Trenton Matthews [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Tuesday, November 11, 2008 4:44 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Notes from Draconis Entertainment: Behind the Veil Making the trainning level have more stuff to do once you're inside the lab should be added.
