Re: [Audyssey] Pontes Backgammon
As I said, i don't remember such a bug myself. Are you certain you were moving it backwards? what I mean is, the squares are numbers a1/a12, then b1/b12. so, when you move from the top of the a row, you are on the top of the B row, thus, if you moved a checker one space from a12 it'd be on b12, one more would take it to b11, and so on down the B row. So, I wonder if perhaps you were looking at the wrong row numbers wise? There is also an option to have the spaces numbered 1-24 as an alternative if you prefer. Just a thought. Beware the Grue! Re: [Audyssey] Pontes Backgammon
Hi Dark, I think I may have found a bug, or maybe I just don't know how to do something. I f I pick up a piece with spacebar, then realize I don't want to move it, I can put it back where it was, but it seems to take one of my dice rolls. I also think it can let me move backward. I'll check on both of those to see if I was merely imagining things, though. -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of dark Sent: Saturday, August 18, 2012 3:19 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Pontes Backgammon the difficulty does increase. [Audyssey] Pontes Backgammon
Hi, This has been under development for a while. Before I purchase it, I have a few questions. Are you likely to find many other players on-line? At this point, without registering you can only complete a game on easy. Are the settings for the other games actually harder, more challenging to play? Any known, nasty bugs that I should be aware of? Thanks. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Hi Dark and all, Did they ever add the doubling cube and related elements? I seem to recall that was missing at one point, and always like that idea in regular backgammon. It made things interesting for multiple games. Yours, Zack. On Aug 18, 2012, at 2:18 PM, dark d...@xgam.org wrote: the difficulty does increase. Re: [Audyssey] Pontes Backgammon
Hi Zack. Not last time I checked. I'm not sure though if this is oversite, or because it's more an English/american variation on the game, while Manu and the others who worked on pontes backgammon is obviously from Rumania, here apparently it's a much more common game, indeed I remember when i visited griece loads of people were playing it and I really wished i knew how, though thanks to pontes backgammon I obviously now do. i suggest though dropping manu an E-mail, sinse I've found him and his team very receptive to suggestions and ideas about the game.
