Hi everyone,
This morning I decided to install some of the old Lighttech
Interactive games on my laptop now running Windows 8, and discovered
no matter what I did I couldn't get the Horse Racing Game to run. I
ran the configuration program, selected SAPI, pressed enter on save
and that worked
it freezes.

Actually, since I am a bit into horse racing, I did try this when I was running
XP a few years back and was not able to get it to work either.

Its a shame we can't get them ported as concepts were really

That happened to me too, but I am not sure what fixed it, because after
that, whatever it did, it worked. Very strage, are you running the latest
version of direct X and visual basic

never managed it either for the same reason, in fact the only time I
approached getting enough was when I used the board editer to cover the
place with barriers for me to jump, but sadly using the editer means you
can't enter the bonus round

Hi,
Two questions. Have you installed the Visual Basic 6 runtime libraries
and disabled Vista's user account control?
Usually failing to do either one of those things causes problems with
most accessible games on Windows Vista and Windows 7. However, both
are easy problems to correct.
