Re: [Audyssey] kitchens inc monopoly

2013-08-29 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Steve,

I'm not sure, but in your case it could be either one. We would need
to know more about your system to make a guess at what the problem
could be. However, just for comparison's sake I am running a Toshiba
with a 2GHZ 64-bit processor, 3 GB of ram, and Windows 7 64-bit and
Jim's Monopoly works fine on this system. So from my personal
experience neither the game or Windows 7 is giving me any issues.

Cheers!

Hi Dean,

I am sorry, don't know what to tell you. I have never had that problem and I
guess that the game works for others.

I also am not sure where you might have needed to tab. I never use the tab key
in my games, it is just arrow keys or enter after typing.

Sorry that the game is not working for you.

UAC is turned off. I ran the uninstall as administrator and it got rid of
all football files. I reinstalled them and when starting the game I filled
in all the blanks and tabbed and entered where needed. I did change the
volume of the crowd so I could hear the SAPI voice. Still when it says
during the kickoff that the ball is going into the end zone I hear the
windows error sound and the crowd sound keeps going on but otherwise it
freezes. so I guess I will just have to forget about playing football.

Hi Dean,

I think that you would need to turn off the UAC and then run the
uninfoot.bat file. The uninfoot.bat file will delete all of the football
game files including the one that gets screwed up if you exit the game with
the alt + f4 or do not enter a name for your coach. You would be able to
tell if the uninfoot.bat file did it's thing if the football.exe and other
football files were no longer in the kitchensinc folder.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for checking.

I uninstalled the football game and unzipped the file I got from your site.
I filled in everything that needed to be filled in and exited the correct
way but the game still hangs at the kickoff. I tried running the
football.exe and the gamemenu.exe as administrator so the UAC comes up when
I start the game but the game still hangs. So I tried turning UAC off. Now
the game hangs but I don't hear the windows warning sound.

When I uninstall the game are there any other files I need to delete
manually that might be messing things up? It still recognized me from the
other day and started the game I tried to play the other day. It said the
two teams that were laying and asked for the name of the opposing
quarterback. It also remembered my audio ssettings.

Nope. It works fine here. Did you disable UAC on Windows 7?

The reason I ask is because Microsoft's security feature, User Account

Hi Kevin,

No, that is not a bug when you press the f10 key in my casino games. More
of an egg. I did it on purpose. The f10 key will activate a menu. I
stopped it from doing that by trapping the key, but decided to have some
fun with it by having it say some random garbage.

Hello Ron , or you can go to

Hi Ron,
The problem is that Vista's new user account control management will not
allow you to unzip files to the c:\Program Files directory as a standard
user. You need to run the setup as administrator or disable user account
control to install Jim's games under Vista.
For example, arrow to one of Jim's games and press the context menu key.
In that pull down menu you will get an option for Run as Administrator.
Press enter. UAC will ask you to confirm this action. Tell it to continue
and then the file will unzip in the c:\Program Files\Kitchinsinc folder
normally.
Now, rather than installing your games to c:\Program Files I recommend
installing to

c:\Users\Your User Name\Games
for one very important reason. Windows Vista user account control will not
allow you to save settings, save games, etc to the c:\Program Files
directory. Save games etc need to be saved in your App Data directory or
somewhere else in your local home directories. If this all sounds too
confusing and you want Windows XP functionality back do yourself a favor
and turn UAC management off.
You can do this by going to the control panel, selecting user accounts,
and going to user account control. Uncheck it, restart, the system and
problem is gone.

Smile.

Re: [Audyssey] kitchens inc

2008-09-23 Thread Jim Kitchen
Hi Mark,

Please don't forget that if you are running Vista you need to run the WinZip
self extracting zip files with full administrative rights. Below is what you
need to do to get my games running in Vista. If you are not running Vista,
please let me know what kind of error or whatever is the problem that you are
having with the WinGolfX.exe file. Thanks.

The first thing that you need to do is to run the setup.exe file in the
winkit.zip file as it installs files that the rest of the games need. So open
the winkit.zip file, press S and then enter. The winkit.zip file is the first
link on my free windows text to speech games page.

The rest of my games require full administration rights to
install. To do this arrow to the games installation file, press the
Windows context menu key, arrow to run as administrator, and press
enter. This will allow you to install the game as administrator. Or you can
just turn off the whole User Account Control thing in Vista and it will do the
same thing.

I hope that helps.
