if you do decide to reinstall directx and then restart, you may have
to wait for a bit for dotnet to initialise
if you don't you may get errors, if you do then try again.

Honestly. I wouldn't bother installing Managed DirectX for .Net. Most
accessible games don't use it and it is not even supported by
Microsoft any more.
