Hi Lisa.

Yep, the party pack is cool. It comes with three tables, old man stanley's
house, Dynaman revenge of Shockra, and extreme wild west.

Extreme wild west is fun, it's a bit like the classic wildwest table but
with a lot moe random stuff such as the ability to play esp whoopass if your
ball goes into the saloon.
Stanley's house is very cool, especially old Stanley's various taunts and
rage and the amount of random stuff you can go, like phoning different
numbers and such.
Dynaman is probably the trickiest, but great for being one huge battle
against an evil electric villainess.
Actually this is making me want to install the games on one or other of my
machines and play them again :D.

Hth.

I really wish they'd make some more party packs.

http://dracoent.com/Windows

Remember there is esp pinball classic, espp pinball xtreme and the
pinball party pack, so lots of tables to play and highly worth getting
imho.

I actually wish they'd produce more tablee, I still regard the pinball
games as some of the best arcade games around in audio.

All the best,

Dark.

Re: [Audyssey] Pinball help

2013-08-15 Thread Draconis
Adora Entertainment discontinued scoreboard support for Pinball Classic in 2004
or so. The way it was initially developed by James North was going to require a
significant investment of time to rewrite for the more modern scoreboards we
have been using since.

As we continue to modernize older titles and release new ones, we are exploring
the possibility of introducing modern scoreboard and social gaming features to
these titles, but we have nothing to announce at this time.

limited to sertain sizes some isps have storage limits.
yes secure but you have blacklists crazy spam blockers and

I have shared on the cloud for 5 years now.
and have got friends to do the same.
Never would go back.
and if I am away and can't access anything, all I need to do is share

Hi Shaun,

Yes, exactly. Not only that some clients are setup, like mine, to
strip attachments by default for security reasons. I don't have any
intention of accidentally getting a virus through email attachment,
and if I get a Dropbox link with a friend saying it is a podcast of a
game like ESP Pinball I am 99% sure it is the real deal and not some
spambot sending me an email virus. :D

That is why, for example, this list is setup to remove attachments. It
is more secure for everyone if games, podcasts, whatever are shared
through cloud sharing services not via email attachments.

Cheers!

well a lot of isps do that.
gmail is really picky.
in the end when I was sending some files to a user I found it easier
to send a backup folder link to myself and then the links to the

pluss having everything everywhere is good.

Re: [Audyssey] Pinball

2013-05-24 Thread Chris H
Funnily enough I am doing a series of podcasts on eSP Pinball Xtreme
which I am going to first share privately with a couple of friends. If
the feedback is good I may share it publicly with you all if that is ok.
Part 1 I covered what Pinball is, how to play it, the menus, and played
Alien Invasion and DynaMan The Revenge of ShockRa. Tomorrow going to
cover Home Run and Merlin's Laboratory. Sunday going to cover Old Man
Stanley's House and Pinball Extreme. Monday going to cover Sudwerks and
Top Gun. Tuesday going to cover the last table Xtreme Wild West. If I
get enough interest I will do a series on eSP Pinball Classic. But only
with enough interest since while I like the tables, eSP Pinball Xtreme
to me is far superior, and is in fact my all time favourite in
accessible gaming.

Feedback welcome.

I would think that it would be hard to tell people what is going on and what
you are doing while the action continues. They are great fast action games.
An audio walk through would, I think, be a challenge.

Funnily enough I am doing a series of podcasts on eSP Pinball Xtreme which
I am going to first share privately with a couple of friends. If the
feedback is good I may share it publicly with you all if that is ok. Part
1 I covered what Pinball is, how to play it, the menus, and played Alien
Invasion and DynaMan The Revenge of ShockRa. Tomorrow going to cover Home
Run and Merlin's Laboratory. Sunday going to cover Old Man Stanley's House
and Pinball Extreme. Monday going to cover Sudwerks and Top Gun. Tuesday
going to cover the last table Xtreme Wild West. If I get enough interest I
will do a series on eSP Pinball Classic. But only with enough interest
since while I like the tables, eSP Pinball Xtreme to me is far superior,
and is in fact my all time favourite in accessible gaming.

Feedback welcome.

[Audyssey] Pinball extreme score

2009-08-13 Thread Richard sherman
Hi,

Yesterday, I decided to try a game of pinball extreme, the wild west table.
My sscore is below:

1. Richard Sherman - 2003342100 [8/13/2009 12:35:24 AM]

2. Sylvester Thomas - 97817525 [3/2/2009 11:53:17 PM]

a pretty wild ride.

The strange thing is that once I hit this score, I pressed f6 to make sure
that it was the 2 billion mark I reached, and the game ended just like that.
I had about 27 balls left. Actually was going for 4 billion.

Does anyone know why the game would just end like that?

Thanks in advance.

2009-08-13 Thread Richard sherman
Hi,

I am guessing about 3 to 4 hours. I played it on the insane level. Now if I
can do that on old man stanley's table, that would be a hoot.

BTW, I had about 1.5 billion on the extreme table and the wife turned my
system off. That stunk.

Seems like 2 billion is the highest score that can be attained, but maybe
not, seeing as you busted it. (grin) How long did it take to rack up that
score?

Hi Thomas,

Yeah, it has been at least twenty some years since I have played a real pinball game
as well. I liked the older, slower machines with bells etc. The newer ones with
digital sounds, digital score boards, multi levels, multi balls etc were just too
much for me. Of course the tunnel vision closing in probably didn't help.
grin

If I ever get to making a pinball game like I have always wanted to do, it will
have the old bells and bumper sounds etc.

Last night I had fun getting code to return a value of 0 to 20 depending on how
much or not I depressed the gas peddle. It just for now then plays the
homerh0.wav through homerh20.wav engine sound file. I will cut the stock car
sounds a bit later. But it was a fun start.

BFN

Jim

But officer, I was only trying to gain enough speed so I could coast to the nearest
gas station.

Hi all, first I think I made a mistake and posted this to the wrong list at
first so even though I can't do anything about that mistake I'm going to ask
the same thing here.

I just downloaded the demo version of pinball classic from draconis and for one
thing, I've never played pinball but I've heard the sounds of others playing.
I assumed that the object was to keep the ball from going to far either to the
right or left? so when i played the pacman table that's what I tried to do and
some how though I'm nto sure how I got like 3 million points? Can someone tell
me some tips on how to play pinball? I looked at the manual and it said to use
the shift keys for the flippers and that is what I did.

Hoping all that made sense.

Hi Jim,
Yeah, there are possibly hundreds of different pinball designs. Though
for newbies sake I wanted to give just a basic design for a reference.
However, now that you mention it I think it was 5 balls instead of 3
that I use to have at the arcade. It has at least been 20 years or more
since I was at a real pinball table. They aren't too easy to find these
days.

between your flippers. The shoots just inside those shoots the ball
would roll down and roll onto your flippers. If you didn't press the
button to flip your flipper the ball would roll off of the flipper and
go down the hole. You could also hold your flipper in the up position
and the ball might instead of bouncing off of the flipper roll up it and
up the shoot. The far right shoot was just inside of the launcher
shoot. I'm pretty sure that way back then we would get 5 balls for a
quarter. And then there were tables with two or more sets of flippers.
And into the eighties there were multi level tables and there could be
more than one ball in play at a time. There were also round bumpers and
flat sided bumpers with bells as well as targets to hit that would
retract when your ball hit them for points. I also liked this one game
that had upper shoots. They had spinner gates and buttons up them. So
if you used your flipper and sent the ball up them real fast, the
spinner gate would spin and spin racking up points and the further the
ball went up the shoot the more buttons it would hit and give you more
points. You could send the ball up so hard that it would come out of
the shoot at the top of the table and be as if you had sent it up the
launcher shoot. There were also little holes that your ball could land
in, get spun and shoot out in any direction. This one table just had a
rubber pad in the center of the table that would change the direction of
your ball. There was just an endless variety of different pinball table
configurations.

Hi Lelia,
Actually, pinball is all about trying to position the ball so you can
hit various bumpers with scores marked on them. Every bumper you hit has
a specific score that adds to your total score. I'm assuming here you
have been blind from birth so have never actually seen a pinball table.
So i'll try to describe it in detail below.
A classic pinball table is a long retangle two maybe three feet long
with a glass top on it which you can look into the machine. On the far
right hand side is a long narrow chamber with a pully thingy on it where
you launch the balls from. In the center of the table is various bumbers
standing up with all kinds of scores on them. The harder a bumper is to
hit with the ball the higher the score marked on it. Similarly the
easiest ones to hit with the ball have low scores marked on them. At the
bottom of the table where you are sitting are two buttons on the table
top that move the flippers. There are two flippers that guard a hole
into wich your ball can get bounced causing you to lose a ball. These
flippers serve two purposes. Besides defending the hole where your ball
can get bounced into you can use them to direct the ball towards the
bumpers thus racking up your score.
How you play the game is you start by launching the ball from the
launcher on the right-hand side of the pinball table. At the beginning
of every pinball game you are given atotal of three balls to start with.
Though, only one ball at a tme can be in play at any given time. You use
the flippers to guard the hole as well as bounce the ball into the
bumpers on the table. Depending on the angle and how hard the flipper
hits the ball you will hopefully send the ball towards one of the
bumpers on the table. When you miss a ball and it falls into the hole at
the end of the table you lose a ball. The object of the game is to get
the highest score possible.
Now, like classic pinball machines games like PBC allows you to play at
various specially themed pinball tables. You can pick tables like
Pacman, Haunted House, the Wild West, etc.

Not that it matters though, obviously a computer either using audio or

mechanical phinball table.

Hi Thomas,

That was a great description of a classic pinball table. However
almost all of the pinball tables that I played in the sixties,
seventies and eighties did also have shoots on the far left and right
hand sides. Actually twin shoots. The far left and right shoots the
ball if it went down them would end up going down the same hole as if
it had come down between your flippers. The shoots just inside those
shoots the ball would roll down and roll onto your flippers. If you
didn't press the button to flip your flipper the ball would roll off of
the flipper and go down the hole. You could also hold your flipper in
the up position and the ball might instead of bouncing off of the
flipper roll up it and up the shoot. The far right shoot was just
inside of the launcher shoot. I'm pretty sure that way back then we
would get 5 balls for a quarter. And then there were tables with two or
more sets of flippers. And into the eighties there were multi level
tables and there could be more than one ball in play at a time. There
were also round bumpers and flat sided bumpers with bells as well as
targets to hit that would retract when your ball hit them for points.
I also liked this one game that had upper shoots. They had spinner
gates and buttons up them. So if you used your flipper and sent the
ball up them real fast, the spinner gate would spin and spin racking up
points and the further the ball went up the shoot the more buttons it
would hit and give you more points. You could send the ball up so hard
that it would come out of the shoot at the top of the table and be as
if you had sent it up the launcher shoot. There were also little holes
that your ball could land in, get spun and shoot out in any direction.
This one table just had a rubber pad in the center of the table that
would change the direction of your ball. There was just an endless
variety of different pinball table configurations.

Hi Lelia,
Actually, pinball is all about trying to position the ball so you can

Similarly the easiest ones to hit with the ball have low scores marked

Actually, spell and number switches were fairly common in graphical
pinball games such as pinball dreams and pinball fantasies for the
Amigar, not to mention of course Sonic spinball on the Mega drive
(easily my favourite pinball game ever!).

Not that it matters though, obviously a computer either using audio or
graphics is able to do a lot more, and a lot more easily than an
actual mechanical phinball table.

Well, spell switches wise, it was very much the same way that the tables in
Esp pinball extreme work (not sure about Classic sinse I've only tried the
demo).

For instance on a haunted house themed table entitled Stones -n- bones,
spelling the word death would make skulls appear around the table which you
could crack open for extra points, and r-i-p would bring up litle tomb stone
barriers which blocked some of the nastier drains for a while.

Number switches as I remembered tended to either count up or down to some
special event.

In sonic spinball for example, there was a gate which would only open when
you hit a counter down to zero, the counter which started at 3.

I'll say that pinball Extreme is one of my favourite arcade style audio
games ever created, owing to the massive ambience, fairly realistic gameplay
and quirky minigames.

I'd actually say imho pinball is improved by being audio, sinse the
necessary sound limit on what's going on and the need to focus on the
pinball as it rolls around the table gives a much better sense of both
exploration and danger than for instance seeing a wide view of the table (in
some graphical pinball games even the hole table), and just watching your
ball roll around it.

it. I've never seen it on a real pinball machine, and not on any other

bumpers on the table.

HI all
A friend bought me ESP pinball classic for my birthday.
Here is my 2 cents view about most of the tables.
Pack man is really buggy. Each time I play I quickly loose all 3 lives.
In the other tables I play for long before loosing a life and I also
easily
get bonus balls, but in pack man I nevewr finishes the first table, not
to

talk about getting a bonus ball..
Pack man is much faster than the other tables.
Sometimes, the moment I hear the power pill is scanned, I press the
shift
key but then either pack man doesn't eat the power pill or I loose a
ball.

The same with hitting shift if I hear the sound of a ghost being scanned.
The pack man table is just too unreasonable.
I've tried playing it 10 times in sequence and each time I lost my
3balls

quickly.
There is not enough randomness in pack man, if the pack man table was
very
much random there would be a chance that I would have at least completed
a

few tables, but I can't even finish the first table.
Has anyone made it far in the pack man tables?
The other tables is fine, I understand now that I only press shift when
the

ball contacts the flipper.
When the police imprisons me in histe, what do they say:
It soundsl ike: dood.
]something dood.
I still need practice with soccerstar.
In hounted house I also don't get very far, I land in the fire.
My ball just lands in the fire without contacting a flipper.
It happens seldom that I sent my ball to the fire per accident.
So pack man is the only table which I don't understand, the other tables
is

fun.
Is pinball extreme more difficult than pinball classic?

Subject: [Audyssey] ESP pinball clasic

HI all
A friend bought me ESP pinball classic for my birthday.

Sometimes, the moment I hear the power pill is scanned, I press the
shift
key but then either pack man doesn't eat the power pill or I loose a
ball.
The same with hitting shift if I hear the sound of a ghost being
scanned.

The pack man table is just too unreasonable.
I've tried playing it 10 times in sequence and each time I lost my
3balls

quickly.
There is not enough randomness in pack man, if the pack man table was
very
much random there would be a chance that I would have at least
completed a

few tables, but I can't even finish the first table.

So pack man is the only table which I don't understand, the other
tables is

fun.
Is pinball extreme more difficult than pinball classic?

[Audyssey] pinball questions

2008-10-03 Thread 0722001794
HI all

I thought of giving e s p pinball classic a try so I downloaded the
demo.

The pack man table is too fast for me.

I don't really understand what's going on there.

It seems like I must just hit the shift keys like a mad person to get
far in the game. Am I right?

The wild west table has really cool sounds.

I have noticed that some of the sounds is the same as in monkey
business.

Has anyone managed to fight in the siloon?

I'm killed each time.

And the sharif fight? How does that work?

Another question: is e s p pinball classic a nonbeatable game?

In other words, does each table just go on and on until you loose or is
there a point that you can beat a table?

In other words: is it possible to play until you hear something like:

Congrachulations, you have won.

And then going back to the main menu?

Do I have to buy all 3 pinball games separately: e s p pinball classic,
pinball extreme and the party pack?

I hope this is not too much questions at once.

HI all

The idea behind any Pinball game is that you allow the ball to run round the
table, hitting objects and obstacles along the way. The most likely reason
you find Pacman hard is that you either don't understand Pinball, don't
understand Pacman, or both. May I therefore suggest you read the manual
thoroughly, listen to the sound descriptions, and practice, until you get
the idea of the game. At the end of the day, Pinball is a fun but
challenging game. The main thing is, it's random too! So you never know what
will happen, which is unlike any arcade game I guess.

The wild west table has really cool sounds.

Yes, I agree.

I have noticed that some of the sounds is the same as in monkey
business.

Well Draconis likes to do that smiles.

Has anyone managed to fight in the siloon?
The idea behind fighting is that when the bad guy throws a punch, you punch
him back in the same direction. So, if he throws one on the left, throw one
back on the left, and vice versa.

I'm killed each time.

And the sharif fight? How does that work?
That I'm not sure, but I've done it twice, and I just love the Eric Clapton
Snippet I Shot the Sherriff! nice one Draconis!

Another question: is e s p pinball classic a nonbeatable game?
As I said above, Pinball is a completely random game, and there's just no
way you can beat it.

In other words, does each table just go on and on until you loose or is
there a point that you can beat a table?
The maximum score for a pinball table is 2,000,000,000 points, then the
table will start all over again.

In other words: is it possible to play until you hear something like:

Congrachulations, you have won.

And then going back to the main menu?

Absolutely not, see above.

Do I have to buy all 3 pinball games separately: e s p pinball classic,
pinball extreme and the party pack?

Yes.

I hope this is not too much questions at once.
No it's not. Don't worry about it. We've all been new to this stuff at some
stage.

Erm, the letters on the keyboard won't work! So you need to hit the letters
j, o, b or s, depending on the letter the job has been assigned. They won't
tell you that letter either, so expect to find it or lose the job!

Hi there,
ESP pinball classic and ESP pinball xtreme are 2 completely different
games. The party pack is an extension to ESP pinball xtreme, and will only
work if you have purchased the game. I have ESP pinball xtreme and the party
pack here, and love it. I do not have ESP pinball classic.

Well just as tilting the tables can now be done without risking the wrath of

 Hi Dark,

Yeah, back in the day at the Mentor Mall Arcade we even had a pinball save
game feature. You know it was like Hey Abe watch my machine, I'm going
out for a cigaret. And hey since we were coworkers at the car wash of
course we would do that for each other. grin Some times at closing we
could even talk the dude into leaving that machine on over night so that
we still had our game the next day.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls; let the machine get it

[Audyssey] Pinball game suggestion

2008-01-05 Thread Jeremy Gilley
Greetings all,
I was just throwing this out as a suggestion to the programmers... I was
wondering if there could be a football pinball game.
Like in baseball tables you have to do a bit of running depending on where
the ball landed. Whell why not a play for yards? and also have a fieldgoal
kick off and such?
Just thought I would see what everyone thinks.

Re: [Audyssey] Pinball games save feature?

2008-01-05 Thread dark
Indeed Jim, that's what I was thinking of, particularly when you've got 14
extra balls (as I had on the pinball Xtreme table the other day), it'd be a
good idea. Obviously saving with the ball in mid flight wouldn't make much
sense.

Beware the Grue!

 Hi Raul,
Hmmm... Interesting question. I could imagine it now. Go to a pinball
arcade, I mean a real reall pinball arcade, and while the ball is flying
around the table, bonging bells, banging bumpers, pattles flipping like
mad, the player pushes a button on the machine and every thing just
stops in place. That would have been so awesome back in the day when
there were real pinball machines around.
I can remember when I was 7 or 8 they had out a Kiss pinball machine I
use to play like mad. If you got a high score or so on the machine would
start blasting Rock And Roll All Night and Party Every Day.You would try

[Audyssey] Pinball games save feature?

2008-01-03 Thread dark
Hi.

I was playing esp pinball Xtreme yesterday, was on over 30 on the pinball
xtreme table with about 12 extra balls, and had to run off to watch the
simpsons. A bit later, I was on over 20 on xtreme wild west, and had to run
off to watch a film.

Being as there's the oppertunity to rack up really high scores over an extended
period on these tables, imho the ability to save and resume a game would be an
incredibly good idea, especially if (as I hope), more tables like pinball
xtreme with many progressive tasks and interest are on the way.

Beware the Grue!

Re: [Audyssey] Pinball Gamers, have your voice heard!

2008-01-03 Thread Richard sherman
Hi,

On the topic of another party pack, I would definitely say go for it. I
personally would be interested in it.

As for personal preferences towards the tables, here is my list.

I only have the registered edition of pinball extreme with party pack 1.

Old Man Stanley's House -- My favorite table. Really suck at playing it but
someday I will be a pinball wizard like Raul.

Pinball Extreme -- One of my favorites. Especially for top scoring. really
like the complexity and different levels of play.

Extreme Wild West -- Another great table with great sounds. Really like the
hot ball situation. The bar scene poses some problems for me though.

Alien Invasion -- Haven't played it much but seems pretty good. I like the
stand alone game better.

Home Run -- Pretty good also. really can take a long time to play a game.

Merlin's Laboratory -- Surprisingly one of my least favorite of the extreme
tables.

Sudwerks, Topgun, and DynoMan -- Haven't played much so cannot comment
properly.

As for the tables in pinball classic, I only played the demo tables and that
was quite a long time ago but thought they were pretty good.

One suggestion, and I do not know if it is even possible or how hard to
code, would be for a multi-ball table. In essence, where there is more than
one ball in action at one time.

Thanks for letting me put in my two cents worth and keep up the great work.

Greetings gamers,

For reference in our future developments, we're wondering if you would
list your top favorite Pinball tables from the 15 available. Don't
worry if you've not played them all, just tell us from the ones you
have played. List your favorites from favorite to least. Try to list
at least three tables, but more would be helpful. This will help us
determine what sorts of tables to make available in the future. Also,
how likely would you be to pick up a second Pinball Party Pack?

Thanks, and happy new year!

Oh way cool! Do you by chance, remember a machine called Black
Hole, where you'd have the main play area, but in the middle of such,
there was a glass window. Underneath the window, there was another
play area in reverse of the first one which would light up when you
got the ball in a certain area above. It looked like a swirling black
hole in blues / purples and the object on the lower area was to keep
the ball from going into the black hole. lol!

   anyway, fun stuff!!! woohoo!...

Smiles,

Cara :)

2008-01-02 Thread Bryan
I tend to agree with Thomas on that one, although I'll admit that I haven't
been able to spend as much time with the new ones as I'd like. But of the
new ones I'd have to say my absolute favorite is Merlin's Laboratory. I
haven't quite gotten the hang of the other tables yet but I hope to have
more time for that.

 Hi Charles,
I'm not sure. I just remember trying PBX when it first came out, and I
didn't like it as well as PBC. Though, I am sure if I spent more time
with it I'd probably get a better appreciation for it. Maybe I am not a
big pinball fan to begin with.

Greetings gamers,

For reference in our future developments, we're wondering if you would
list your top favorite Pinball tables from the 15 available. Don't

On ESP Pinball Xtreme, pressing F8 wil pause the game while the ball
is in play. You can also just walk away from the computer while it is
waiting for you to launch your next ball and it will wait for you to

Re: [Audyssey] Pinball Gamers, have your voice heard!

2008-01-01 Thread Charles Rivard
This is an interesting topic as well as, hopefully, giving you good
feedback. The first ones mentioned are probably my 2 second favorite
tables. I like both Alien Invasion and the Packman table for their feel and
how the ball acts. I picture these 2 tables as working the way a pinball
table that sighted people play works, especially the ability to pass the
ball from flipper to flipper in the Alien Invasion table. My favorites,
though are, for their difficulty, are the Top Gun and the Shock Raw tables,
although I know I misspelled that last one. (grin). When I'm in the mood
for some sports, there are the Soccer Star and baseball tables, although the
baseball table is very long and doesn't give as much of a challenge, but
this is a personal taste. For sheer fun, I like Old Man Stanley's House,
Sud Works, the Pinball Xtreme, and the Haunted House tables.. Although
related, but not mentioned in your post, is the table editor that was to
have been part of the Pinball Xtreme project, but has been put aside for the
future. I think it would greatly add replay value to what is already an
excellent set of pinball fun. As for a second Party Pack, it would depend
on the tables offered. One thought I have is for players to create table
with the editor and send them to Draconis for approval, Players could then
choose however many tables are included in the next pack from those
available, or we could download each table for a price. Table creators
could get discounts on Draconis products for each table approved for sale

2008-01-01 Thread Kelly Sapergia
Hi,
First, I'd definitely purchase another Party Pack, table editor
(that's something I'd like to see in the future), basically anything
to add to the game as I'm a fan of the series.
As for my list, that's a tricky one to answer, as I generally
like all the tables, but here we go:

Sudworks
Old Man Stanley's House
Wild West (the classic version)
Pinball Extreme
Alien Invasion
Home Run

While I like to play the others I haven't mentioned, one table I
don't care for is Merlin's Laboratory.
Thanks.

Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergia

Hi,
For what it is worth I personally felt the games from the classic
Pinball game were better than the PBX tables. My favorites are the
Packman table, The Halloween table, and the Western tables. I've heard
Safari, and it sounds pretty cool as well.
Though, most of my pinball experience has come from playing the demos,
and listening to others play them for me over the phone. So I am
probably not the best person to ask, but the above list is what I think
would be my favorites.
As far as buying a second party pack depending on what was in it I might
purchase it after I get PBC and PBX in my gaming collection.

I think I found a bug in pin ball XTream. When a scan is in progress and
you press the key to hear your score or how many balls are left, the sound
of the ball roling starts playing even if there is still a scann happening.
Has any one else found this or am I wrong and it is natural. I am after all
still learning to play the game.

Hi,

Awesome topic.
Firstly, I'd definitely buy another party pack. I'm a big fan of the pinball
series, and I've been since Pinball Classic was released under ESP Softworks.
As for my favorites, I'd have to go with:

Soccerstar
Heist
Classic WildWest

Old man Standley's house
Sudworks
Homerun

Keep in mind, I listed them separately for each game.
Take care,

Hello, does anyone know if there is an upgrade to ESP Pinball Extreme? A
few years ago, I purchased ESP Pinball Classic version 1.3 and I was
wondering if there is a way to upgrade from that to ESP Pinball extreme at
 a discount.

Hi. No, ESp Pinball Classic is a totally different game than ESP Pinball
Xtreme. There is no upgrade price. However if you still have 1.3 of ESP
Pinball Classic you mgiht think of updating it to the latest which is
1.6 or 1.7 I think.

No, there is no way to upgrade, as the two are entirely different games. You
shall have to purchase PBX at full price.

HI
Is pinball also a type of sport game such as show down? It sounds as if
pin ball is a compilation of other games but you play these games using
a ball? A pack man table? I don't understand. Do you play pack man with
a ball?

Re: [Audyssey] pinball comparison

2006-07-18 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi, Nicol.
Years ago there used to be a mechanical game called a pinball machine
which was built in to a table. You had two flippers, a ball, and the
object of the game is to use the left and right flipper to bounce the
balls in to bumpers to get points. Which bumper you hit determains your
score.
All pinball machines were basically the same in game play, but they all
did have different themes and different looking and sounding tables. For
example, one that was out in the late 70's and 80's was a KISS pinball
machine for the rock band Kiss that was at my local arcade.
When you made a high score you would here Kiss sing Rock and Roll All
Night and Party Every Day.
All of the bumpers were painted up with the faces of the rock band
menbers, guitars, and cool stuff like that.
There were all kinds of other tables like haunted houses, science
fiction themes, and well they looked and sounded different.
Anyway, what the pinball games from Draconis does is offer several
pinball tables that have themes like wild west, Packman, Socker Star, etc...

Re: [Audyssey] Pinball Xtreme Party Pack congrats

2006-06-21 Thread Draconis Entertainment
Hello Raul and all,

You are very welcome, and thanks for your support. We are very
pleased with the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Pinball
Party Pack. It was fun to put together, and it seems like everyone
has been enjoying it quite a lot. I'm very pleased, indeed. My
personal favorite is the DynaMan/ShockRa table, and think that after
mastering its trickier aspects, it is the most exhilarating and fun
table in the pack, though OMSH is great for a laugh and XWW is pure fun.

Our next title, which we hope to release before year's end, is very
exciting and something wholly different from our other titles. I
think its going to knock the socks off the community. *grin*

So far I have not played the DynaMan one very much. And by looking
at the scoreboards one can safely say I've played Old
Man Stanley's table a lot. The Wild West 2 is a blast as well.

Overall a great addition pack to the already cool PBX.
