Hi Mauricio, Did you install the Visual Basic 6 runtime libraries? These do not ship with Windows 7, and have to be installed in order for several older legacy aplications like Supershot to work properly on Windows 7. Based on the error you have it definitely looks like a missing library of some kind. Hi Claudio, No, that's not necessarily true. Some games such as those produced by GMA come with the VB 6 libraries for DirectX, but that is it. Several other developers such as DanZ Games, Jim Kitchen, etc have a Visual Basic 6 runtime setup which installs many of the VB 6 runtime libraries that don't ship with Windows Vista and Windows 7. Well, give me links as needed, that'll be fine. As to supershot though, well, I'm always sad when an audio game is made entirely inaccessible. if you've no longer got the source code and can't support the game, why not release it as abandonware? That way people should know what they're getting into when downloading it. Just a suggestion. i've heard reviews of the game and the sounds and music seem pretty nice, especially for a quick arcade action game, so it'd be a shame if it was entirely lost. Beware the grue! well it is already on the game. Jim kitchin's winkit file is the best thing I know for installing dependencies, and I believe it comes with all the vb components necessary to run many audio games. If you want a complete install of the VB 6 runtime install Jim Kitchen's Winkit program that has a complete VB 6 runtime environment. then, install your other games. Oh, it's not on the main page, but it's up there...you have to know how to get to it. The procedure I use is: 1. Go to audiogames.net and select egghunt from the quick links combo box and choose go. 2. On the review page, go to the table, and click on the download link. 3. On the page that appears, go to the address bar, and replace the words egghunt with supershot and then press enter. 4. Enjoy! You of course have to enter your name etc etc, but that's no problem. Hi I got this error initially when running other l-works games under 7. I fixed it by installing the vb6 runtime libraries. It isn't included in 7 and has to be downloaded separately.
