Hi Michael, Well, using the deck gun is tricky and requires quite a bit of practice. First, thing you need to do is center your target using the left and right arrow keys. Then, you need to raise or lower the deck gun with the up and down arrow keys to get the proper range. You'll never get an exact range but you will know if it will hit the target when the beep is high pitched. The long and short messages are there to let you know if you will over shoot or if your shells will fall short of the target. When in doubt try and go for about 50 long so your shells will hit the target and if you are attacking a moving target keep it in range longer. Hi all, I am looking for a bit of help with the deck gun of my sub. Don't quite get the hang of lining it up right in order to hit a target. You don't. It gies you the targetting solution when you've reached the most viable position. It's not going to be dead on. The info on whether you are long, which means that your barrel is too high, or short, which means that your barrel is too low, is constantly changing if you or the enemy is moving. The same goes for if the target is to your left, p, or to your right, s. P is for port, and S is for starboard. Use the left or right arrows to move your gun left or right, and the up or down arrows to raise or lower the gun as needed. These will be in small movements. For larger movements for quick aiming, use the control key along with those arrow keys. Just like when using torpedoes, fire at the highest beep. With the deck gun, keep adjusting your aim and keep firing, as you do have unlimited ammunition. --- Laughter is the best medicine.
