Re: [Audyssey] Allen Maynard's boxing game
no! alon! do you know what you've just done? you've stopped me from getting the boxing game again when i reformat my harddrive. i would have downloaded it right away if tit was still available and scanned! you know what? i think this trogen horse is a fake! i think it's some person who hates blind people and wants to shut you down. like... well... let's not go there. but let's just say... like a person did to another company. put it back up, put the games on there, i will download and scan them for you. perhaps it'll be wize if many people downloaded and scanned, i use avg free v 7.5, but we need many virus scanners and see what results they output. regards, aaron ___ Gamers mailing list .. Whoa whoa Aaron, don't have a heart attack. You're starting to sound like a kid who posted on the Audio Game Maker forum after the fire. He had a whole theory on why the fire happened. Needless to say his viewpoint was extremely depressing. arg. this does not sound good. hopefully it's resolved quickly. it's at times like this i wish there was a virus scanner taht gets rid of viruses not only on your pc, but if it comes into contact with one on a website... well... you probably know the rest. regards, aaron ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] Allen Maynard's boxing game
why don't you just chuck the baner. At 02:51 p.m. 14/02/2007, you wrote: Because I have no idea how that trojan horse got into my web site, I have taken my site down permanently. Feel free to destribute the boxing game and the trainer, but just as a precaution, I'd scan the files for viruses or trojans before you destribute them. There shouldn't be any malware in the files, but then again, I didn't think there was any trojan horse on my web site either. To scan the file or files, run Windows Explorer and open your hard drive. Then locate the file and press the Applications key which is the third key to the right of the space bar on a standard 104-key keyboard. This should bring up a context menu. Arrow down the list until you find an item labeled, scan with x where x is the name of your particular antivirus program., and press enter. hi allan it is a cool game - Original Message - From: Allen [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: BlindGamers gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Sunday, February 11, 2007 4:18 AM Subject: [Audyssey] Allen Maynard's boxing game The url is www.fantasystorm.net Because of the more complex keystrokes and actions is why I was asked to create a boxing trainer. I welcome all comments but I just want to explain some things. I modeled the Savage Gamut after the arcade game of Punch Out. In that game, the two fighters just stand toe-to-toe and punch each other out. I wanted to try and create a more realistic fighting game because I was trying to get away from a game type where you hear the punch coming and it stops and then you had to move. But I had to come up with a way so the punch would not have to stop, so I thought to make a whooshing sound when your apponent pulled his arm back to punch. Someone mentioned that they thought the sounds were rubbish. Now, I don't think they are rubbish but I know that they do sound a little cheesy. But I needed a different sound between the whoosh of the arm going back and the punch being thrown. I understand if you don't like the game. That's just the nature of games, every game won't appeal to everyone. Of those who did not like the game, please give me some ideas of how a similar game could be better. This is not a retorical question and I am not being sarcastic. I really would like to know. Allen Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Site: www.fantasystorm.net -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Re: [Audyssey] Allen Maynard's boxing game
let me also explain things: i absalutely love the savage gambit and am hooked (hooked, lol! get it?). i beat the first, and like the second as well. but it's my friend who thinks that the sounds are rubbish. i like the sounds. it hink that the sounds arn't the most important thing that makes a game. it's the complexity. or, it's that a new game is out. even if it's simple, iget every, and i mean every game that's released, even if it's yet another space invaders clone. this one's complex. not as complex as judgment day, but i think it's second best. now if you could only add trophies and unlockables... then yep. that'd be cool. by the way alon, are you developing games still? regards, aaron ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] Allen Maynard's boxing game
alan, i very much like the game. it took me a very long time to get used to the keystrokes but now i got them, it's given me a new game to play. the rest of you, the sounds are indeed open wave files, so if you don't like them you can always change them. i, for example, have changed the bell. regards, damien - Original Message - From: Allen [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: BlindGamers gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Sunday, February 11, 2007 4:18 AM Subject: [Audyssey] Allen Maynard's boxing game The url is www.fantasystorm.net Because of the more complex keystrokes and actions is why I was asked to create a boxing trainer.
