Re: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud
Hi Helena, I went to look for the answer to this question this morning and got this from wikipedia. I think the link is right. In a nutshell, the LP mud seems to be named after the person who created it, but as for how it compares to any other mud like alter eon I am not too sure. Haven't played in a mud for over four years so I am kind of clueless at the moment, grin. al http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LPMud";>LPMud - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Original Message - From: "Helena" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Sunday, July 12, 2009 8:45 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud That's something I too would like to know. - Original Message - From: "Allan Thompson" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Saturday, July 11, 2009 9:30 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud Hi, I am sorry for sounding ignorant, but what is an LP mud? thanks, al - Original Message - From: "Sarah Haake" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Saturday, July 11, 2009 1:30 PM Subject: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud Hi, I just started playing on Lost Wishes Mud a week ago and I really like so far. It's a LP mud, wich are my favourites. It has over 100 quests, the equipment saves when you log out and it has a great tutorial for starting players. The room discriptions are very good and discriptive. There are no wilderness maps or such things and it has a special toggle for screen readers which disables the ascii grafics in the score display, for example. There are 13 guilds to choose from when reaching level 10, which I didn't reach yet, however. I really like this mud. I'ts great for exploring, reading good room discriptions and questing. Re: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud
Desmodus was too weird and unrealistic for my tastes, you had to learn skills to even use a sword, couldn't even swing it wildly or anything, which doesn't make sense. I don't really like how it just drops you smack in the middle of a giant city with no real direction or newbie help either. It could have potential but in my opinion at least there's a few things they need to work on first. -- From: "Mike Maslo" Sent: Saturday, July 11, 2009 2:35 PM To: "'Gamers Discussion list'" Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud I did not like it either. Re: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud
Hi, I am sorry for sounding ignorant, but what is an LP mud? thanks, al - Original Message - From: "Sarah Haake" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Saturday, July 11, 2009 1:30 PM Subject: [Audyssey] Found a nice mud Hi, I just started playing on Lost Wishes Mud a week ago and I really like so far. The playerbase is quite small, there are around 30 players online in high time, but about 15 players are online at all times. I would recommend this muds for newbies and for veterans alike, especially for explorers and questers. This mud is defenately not a hack and slash thing. I think it's worth a look for everyone who likes mudding or wants to start doing so.
