Re: [Audyssey] Found two more gamepads.
Hi Ron, Since I have never owned either one of these gamepads I can't really tell you how well they perform but I can say as a developer that joystick support in games is usually pretty generic. All of the real support/handling of the device is either through Microsoft's DirectInput library or the new XInput library. All the same one feature I'd check on if I were you is if it has duel DirectInput and XInput support. Some devices only support one or the other meaning you'd have to upgrade or buy a new one if you get a game that doesn't support one of those libraries. The Logitech F510 supports both which is one of the reasons why I recommend it as a basic joystick/gamepad device. Re: [Audyssey] Found two more gamepads.
Hi Ron, For the f510, Go to amazon, Logitech Rumble Gamepad F510 with Dual Vibration Motors 4.7 out of 5 stars $32.24 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Rumble-Gamepad-Vibration-Motors/dp/B003VAM392 - Original Message - From: "Ron Kolesar" To: "Audyssey" Sent: Sunday, April 24, 2011 10:18 PM Subject: [Audyssey] Found two more gamepads. I couldn't find the Logitech f510. But I did find the following. Would like to have feedback from my fellow gamers if they would work with the Three D Velocity flight simulator from BPC Programs and or the games from Blind software. It looks like both units are twelve buttons, duel sticks and have force feedback written into them. The first is from Wal-Mart Mace Group USB Game Pad The second is from K mart. Steel Series #G Game Controller They're both around the $25 to $50 price range. This is all that I can give. I wish I could give further details since I'm asking for advice from my fellow gamers. But this is all that I could find. It does look like both gamepads will work in windows seven and in the 64 bit processor world. And all assistance will be deeply appreciated. Many Many Thanks. Ron who's looking for a way to enjoy the hang to ear products and to be able to be untied from the keyboard once again to enjoy them.
