Re: [Audyssey] Max Shrapnel was James North?

2007-11-03 Thread chou.clement
Well, could you and someone else say, Che, get together for this job if it
was done though? I think it's about time we started seeing collaberations.
No offense to either of you, I just think that more devs should be putting
together some work. Like capcom and SNK released a fighting game that
featured characters from both companies.

Subject: [Audyssey] Max Shrapnel was James North?

 Hi Mike,
Well, I do have plans to break into the FPS market sometime after
Raceway, but as for something equal to Max Shrapnel I can't say one
way or another at this point. Some of the games features such as
realistic physics, 3D audio environment, etc is no problem for me. The
problem would be with the network game play. Max Shrapnel was suppose to
be able to run off the AGS server allowing up to six players on each
side for battles. That would be difficult for me to pull off since my
knoledge of network programming is less than it should be, and I don't
have a dedicated server to run a networked game at this point.

 Mike Reiser wrote:
Tom, since James didn't sell you Max, would you consider doing something
like max but with a different name? I think it would be cool to see what
max would have been if it had been finished. The trailors I read about
 it
 sounded really awesome.

Hi Will,
Yeah. Allot of people trusted James to follow through and he hasn't. Not
even a note how things are going. Good luck trying to get cash back.
I took over RW and Monty to keep the games alive, but Max was far too
much and I am glad I didn't take on that one as well.

I sure was waiting for that game to come out, and was sorry when James North
said that he wasn't going to work on it, at least not at that time. He did
not say that it had been scrapped, but that it was, for the time being,
shelved. I hope you work on it in the future. Thanks.

Hi,
Max Shrapnel is still owned by James North. To my knolege he isn't
working on it, and the project is either postponed or abandoned.
As for Battle Chess Draconis Entertainment owns the rights to that game,
but you'd have to find out from them what the status of it is.
