Hi Louis,
Since I don't personally own a Mac I'm not too sure where Apple is in terms of Mono accesibility, but I can give you a fairly good idea of where Linux is as far as Mono accessibility goes. On Linux the Mono development tools like GTK-Sharp are fairly accessible out of the box. I've not had any problems using GTK-Sharp with Orca on Ubuntu Linux 8.10. As far as Mono accessibility goes there have been some recent improvements in that direction on Linux. Accessibility is certainly not perfect on Linux yet, not quite what you would call Windows quality accessibility, but very functional. There is an access upgrade for mono currently under developmente here
http://www.mono-project.com/Accessibility
for Linux OS users. In short this accessibility update creates an accessibility bridge between Mono and the Linux Accessibility Toolkit, ATK, which transmits onscreen information to Orca. It seams to work ok for my registration form that allows you to license MOTA on Linux which is probably your main worry if you are developing games.
If you would like to discuss this further the
develop...@usagamesinteractive.com
mailing list would be a great place to discuss this sort of thing.
Smile.

Hi all, for those of you who use Linux and the Mac, how good is Mono in terms
of accessibility? I'm interested in it, because I have switched to C# and
Visual Basic.NET and since Mono supports those languages it may be easy to
start cross-platform support this year. HTH.
