Which is why I use an external for backup and an external for coman use.
In fact most stuff exists on the external drive for that reason.
on all systems the drives are devided into bits.
a small one for the os, and a large one for data and user settings.

Re: [Audyssey] Mota link

2011-07-27 Thread dark

Hi tom.

Actually, I'm going to need to get another drive stuckk in my desktop soon
expressly for holding audio and music, sinse I've only got about 50 mb free
at the moment.

I use an external drive to backup, but I'd rather not have two of them on
the go sinse that would get confusing. Luckily, we do know someone who can
probably put one in for me, and I'll likely need to do it before christmas
of this year sinse otherwise I'll be running out of space.

I will say though on the slow down issue, regular defragging has helped
considderably with computer speed, even though I've only got 4450 gb and
have filled about 400 of that.

If I remember rightly the traditional saying is

all work and no play makes jack a dull boy and was an old victorian saying
about the fact that if kids worked all the time they ended up pretty
miserable. I think various films and such picked up on that and obviously
Homer simpson had his own version ;D.

Beta 20 had too many bugs and problems to be declared a stable

Re: [Audyssey] Mota link

2011-07-26 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Hayden,

Oh, there are a couple of nasty ones in beta 20 I didn't discover
until after I released it. For instance, if you alt+tab away from
MOTA, try and do something else like use your favorite chat program,
and alt+tab back to the game it will crash and lock up your system.
I've since fixed that problem, but all the same I'd rather not put
beta 20 back up for that bug alone.

There are a couple of others I've fixed or am working on, but just
because you might not have experienced them the bugs are their. I'd
like to make sure they are completely gone before releasing beta 21
and then begin working on the release candidates.
