Yes Alter Aeon is a great mud. I'm new to muding and Alter Aeon is the first mud I've played. It has me hooked. It is great for sited and blind alike. Hi Lindsay This maybe off topic but. From One Necromancer Mage to another try some of these tricks I use myself. I only died one time knock on wood. First I always have a Clay man, Wood wode, or flesh beast. With me at all times, and as many skeleton spiders as I can. Second learn Bone Armor, Bone Blade, and Bone Shield. Use these three together. Always have them out and ready. You never know when a fight will brake out. You have to cast Bone armor on yourself. Bone Armor will give you XP every time you cast it. Use these till you find a better weapon, shield, and armor. I still haven’t yet. Third when in a fight try casting your mane spell first and instead of typing it in every time just hit the up arrow one time and press enter. To keep casting the same spell. Do that as fast as you can. Fourth I personally don’t care for this but it works. When all ells fales FLEA and RUN. Run a way to fight another day. Look me up in AA sometime my name Is Caspero. I'm a big fan of text based adventure games which are similar to MUD's however without the combat and multiplayer elements, they focus more on puzzle solving and great ambience. Hi Eric and welcome. There are lots of other games out there besides muds, good though some muds are. Auio games in all sorts of genres from real time action to racing and adventure, brouser based rpgs, gamebooks etc. I'd recommend having a look at the database over at www.audiogames.net where you can use the search archive function to sort the games by catagory, and the pcs games fantastic games list over at www.pcsgames.net, which can provide a really great overview of available stuff.
