Re: [Audyssey] Iphone games

2014-04-21 Thread dark

There are lots of Iphone games.

some are mentioned on the audiogames.net database, there is also a huge list
on the applevis site.

Some of the noteable titles include the games from somethinelse such as
papasangre 1 and 2 and the night jar, which ar hhorror themed
action/adventure audio games, king of rdragon pass which is a very complex
rpg/stratogy, star traders elite which is a trading rpg game, 6th sense a
zombi arcade shooter, and Liam urvan's audio archery, plus a hole bunch of
others.

There are then many text games like the choiceofgames interactive stories,
as well as mmorpgs like solara. It all depends upon what sort of thing your
interested in.

All the best,

Dark.

Well Simon ironically I was the other way around. I was interested in the

sinse found some other things the Iphone is good for as well, for example I
now find it a handy device for music and books once I found a way around
silly Apple's folder structure with Itunes, however games was what I was
first interested in and generally i haven't been disappointed, and I agree
it's great for train journies (I played through most of zombi exidous
 last week on a train).

Regarding turning vo off I've never had any issues with that myself, and it'd
be a shame to miss out on games like papasangre, codename cygnas or sixth
sense. Btw, I'm dark tenor on game center if you want to add me.

The only thing that slightly irritates me with the Iphone and games, is that
where on a pc it was reasonably easy to predict when looking over games what
would and would not be accessible, on the iphone there are many games and
game types that should! be accessible but for some reason aren't. I'm talking
about things like text adventures, gamebooks and textual rpgs. Indeed it sort
of irritates me that though there are innumerable gamebooks on the Iphone and
people like tinman games producing more of them, none of these are
accessible, or at least they weren't when I tried them which just seems
insane and unfortunately I don't know what it is that means the text of say a
gamebook is inaccessible to vo since while it's relatively easy to tel a
developer hay those buttons aren't labeled there is often no logical reason
I can see why text doesn't display properly, after all it's not as if the
text in say the tinman gamebooks is graphical emulated on screen stuff.

Apart from that though I'm really liking the Iphone and the games situation
on it is just getting better.

of these are Solitaire style games, but not the well-known Klondike kind
which most people refer to as just Solitaire. Specifically the game
Cards Alone is 2 games in 1. These are called Napoleon's Grave and

Hi, the Bop-it game is just called Bop-it. Also, I have never tried
playing it with a keyboard. I really doubt it would make much sense
since for example, when it says pull it, you literally pull the iPhone
or iPod toward you. When it says spin it, you literally spin it as if
turning the device on a table clockwise. ETC. Another one I recommend is
Zany Touch and Smack Me. All of these games are playable with Voice Over
turned off. I mean actually turned off, not just muted. I have provided
the links for these 3 mentioned games below.

Bop-It

Zany Touch

Smack Me

Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] iphone games?

2011-09-07 Thread dark

Hi.

these sound pretty cool,a nd if I ever invest in an Iphone I'll have to give
them a go myself.

However as an interesting fact, boppit ultimate from lighttech interactive
is stil available at http://www.lighttechinteractive.com/webpage/index.php

This is a surprisingly difficult boppit game played on your keyboard, but
with specially chosen keys to make the boppit game a litle harder, pluss a
couple of interesting game modes and the ability to play against an opponent
online.

For more info, see the boppit ultimate page on audiogames.net.

Beware the grue!

Hi, the Bop-it game is just called Bop-it. Also, I have never tried
playing it with a keyboard. I really doubt it would make much sense since
for example, when it says pull it, you literally pull the iPhone or iPod
toward you. When it says spin it, you literally spin it as if turning the
device on a table clockwise. ETC. Another one I recommend is Zany Touch
and Smack Me. All of these games are playable with Voice Over turned off.
I mean actually turned off, not just muted. I have provided the links for
these 3 mentioned games below.

Re: [Audyssey] iphone games?

2011-09-07 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, for games such as these, Voice Over must be off. When Voice Over is
on and you tap once, Voice Over intercepts that tap and the app itself
doesn't ever see it unless you do a doulbe-tap. So, this means that a
double-tap when Voice Over is on, is really a single tap when Voice Over
is off. I hope that makes sense.

Good luck.

especially the empire building ones and space type games.

Has anybody found any good games out there that work?

Hello Raul,
I would like to try out this Bop It game you mentioned. How do I
locate it in the applications store? How is it played, can it be played
with a Bluetooth keyboard or the screen.
I am getting some of the other games you mentioned. Sounds like there
were more than just one type of game. This is for an iPod touch which
should work with it since it is iOS.

Hi, I have several games on my iPhone. There are the Bop-It style games,
beginning with Bop-It itself. Then Zany Touch, Smack me are two others
similar. There is an audio type of game called Aurify and you use all
audio signals to do the various musical levels. There are several card
games which are accessible and several adventure type of games as well.

Take care.

could you consider this? I know a lot of people enjoy using their iPhone

But all three devices use the exact same operating system. The only
difference is the IPhone has a phone in it. So unless I'm much mistaken the
games should work more or less equally well on all three devices should they
not.
