Not sure which company made these, and yes, in general joysticks are alot
easier for some people when doing full circles...when I play Zangief in any
SF game with controler, I can't pull off his throwing moves at all rofl.

Was this made by Madkatz? I heard ones made by them were pretty good.

Also. I have trouble with the motions and things on the DPad, either I
don't do it right, forget it or it ends up being blocked; wondering if the

joystick would make it easier to do full circles though, like I guess just

rotate the stick 360 and hit the punch/kick buttons that go with that
move. Suppose that'd be easier than hitting up-down-left-right and
sometimes you have to do two of them, especially for ultras, or at least I

think I do remember seeing an ultra with two 360s in them.

Yesterday, me and a buddy opened up the joystick to take a look inside,

At the base of the stick on the inside of the machine, there is a thin

cross piece inside will angle down and touch the right part of the
feedback board- giving your character the crouch. Problem here is that
the plastic they used is very thin- like the material you see on a CD
case- those break alot too. My girfriend actually snapped off two of four

sides of that crosspiece without knowing or meaning to just playing MVC.
As my buddy demonstrated, you can snap off the remaining legs of the
crosspiece just by pressing on them with your finger tip.
So now we're left with one completely useless joystick, and one that
 we're afraid to use.
So, if you're shopping for joysticks, and you come across this model,
give it a wide burst, and those of you who have bought it already, good
 luck and be gentle.

Personally I play better with a controler, but I prefer the joystick for the
simple pleasure it brings for reminding me of the countless hours spending
in arcades when I was a teen.

Thanks for the heads up. Though honestly, I prefer the original
playstation controllers from anything else. Once you have that, you don't
need anything else nless you play at tournament levels for a lot of games.
And even then, a lot of tournaments use standard controllers, like EVO,
which is the biggest fighting game tournament around.

2010-08-27 Thread clement chou
The MadCats fightsticks are some of the best around. So no, I doubt these
were made by them.

If it ends up being blokced... it's not the dpad's fault, or oyur fingers.
if the attack is blocked then it's blocked. The motion has nothing to do
with it. Ans it might be easier to do the 360 motions with a stick, but the
two 720 degree ultras have nothing to do with the stick. lol. There's
mechanics stuff from gameplay that effects that too.

Re: [Audyssey] king of fighters anniversary joystick for theplaystation

2010-08-27 Thread Tom Randall
Hi Orin and all.

I have to agree with Clemant here, in my admitedly limited experience with
SSFIV I find it much more consistant to use the d-pad to pull off moves.
Mind you I am still trying to learn to use the stick to do them sometimes
just for flexibility's sake and to see if any are easier to do that way but
so far this has not proved to be the case.

Best regards,

Tom
