I actually had the ability to play against someone. It was0n't exactly
locally, since we were sitting on tt, I was piping the audio through stereo
mix and he would tell me what he wanted to shoot at, but hey, it worked,
though I somehow ended up crashing the game mid-way through the match

Hi Shane,
I tried the game download in the forum and it works.
I added the game to my games list,
yukionozawa's AudioGames.net Forum.
Home of Laser breakout.
a japanese developer has translated his game to English.
You have a horizontal grid that consists from 7 up to 36 blocks.
you and either another friend at the same keyboard or the computer player,
will be able to fire different lasers that will do damage in a localized
but powerful fassion,

or spread across a few blocks with varying accuracies.
Who ever destroys the other player's blocks wins, though the game can be
tied as well.

there are 2 modes, normal mode with just shooting,
and action mode which lets you use abilities such as healing blocks or
having the next shot not miss.
The way you shoot is you select a block with the arrow keys and hit enter
on the square you want to shoot at.

Re: [Audyssey] laser breakout, a relatively new audio game

2011-04-11 Thread fred olver
Thanks for sharing this game, however I have a question. Does this game
require two players and how does one shoot using the keyboard?

There is a japanese developer who has began to translate all of his
games to english. the first one to see the light of day is called
laser breakout. You have a horizontal grid that will consist from 7
up to 36 blocks. you and a second player (either another friend at
the keyboard or the computer) will be able to fire quite a few
different lasers that will do damage in a localized but powerful
fassion or spread across a few blocks with varying accuracies. the
idea is who ever destroys the other player's blocks wins, though the
game can be tied as well. there are 2 modes, normal mode with just
the shooting, and action mode which will let you use abilities such
as being able to heal blocks or having the next shot not miss.

I personally really enjoy the game, so thought I'd share it here.
