Re: [Audyssey] martial arts

2011-02-28 Thread Hayden Presley
Hi Nicol,
It sounds as if what your people are saying is pure guesswork. I am a
Catholic, and I'll be the first to tell you that a lot of Catholic beliefs
are questioned but most of them have at least some biblical basis. What you
are saying about God no longer needing miracles or wars makes no since
whatsoever and has, as far as I see it, no biblical basis at all.

Best Regards,
Hayden

Hi Nockol,
you wrote.

We are taught at our meetings that martial arts is wrong in God's eyes.

My question is this. who is teaching you that martial arts is wrong in
God's eyes and where are they getting their information from? In the old
testament the Israelites God's people went to war and won with God's
help and prayer. So this means that God wants his people to have some
means or both physical and spiritual self defense.

Josh

Hi Jacob,
Ummm...Jim Kitchen doesn't have a bar fight game. Are you maybe
thinking of ESP Whoop Ass which was one of ESP's titles and now is
owned by Draconis Entertainment?
If so that is more of a boxing game than martial arts. Still it does
count as a hand-to-hand fighting game of sorts.

Cheers!

Hi,
Well, that I can probably help with.I don't know of a lot of text
adventures with a martial arts bent to them, but there is one I have
played called Ninja II. You can go to
http://ifarchive.org/indexes/if-archiveXgamesXcompetition2005XwindowsXninja2.html
and download the file ninja2.exe. Just copy the file to anydirectory
and run it. It will come up in a command prompt and if you have say
all turned on in Jaws it should read all the prompts pretty well. Oh,
and download the file ninja2.txt which is the instructions such as
they are.
Hmmm...Come to think of it there was a tads game called Ninja Burger
or something like that released about six years ago as well. It is
stupider than all get out, but if you want something with a martial
arts/ninja bent to it it has that. If you don't mind the fast food
ninja hero angle I guess you might get a kick out of it.

Cheers!

Hi Michael,
Well, yeah, I guess you could classify Tournament as a martial arts
game. I guess I was initially under the impression you were thinking
of something equal to the console games like Double Dragon, Legend of
kage, Mortal Kombat, etc. As I mentioned in a prier e-mail another
game you might want to checkout is Ninja II which is definitely right
up your alley and is text based.

Cheers!

will have to play console games like Mortal Kombat that are
