Re: [Audyssey] windows frots under xp
I've been looking for a solution to that problem a long time. No luck on my end so far. A while ago, I contacted the developer. Mr. Kinder doesn't feel he has the time to try and address our problem. It has something to do with how the text is displayed. He thought that it might help if somebody made a version of the interpreter which displayed text in terminal or console mode. I'd certainly be ecstatic if somebody figures out how to make an interpreter which could handle all forms of Zcode and Zblorb games and displayed the text so that it was friendly to screenreaders. Sadly, I don't think we'll get much help from the skilled programmers in the if community. Re: [Audyssey] windows frots under xp
I was not able to get Win Frotz to work under my XP home at all. I did get Win Frotz TTS to work..and it seems to work quite well. I am currently playing station fall. Man does this bring back fond memories of days gone by. Robert --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] windows frots under xp
The newer version of windows frotz doesn't seem as useable as the old one. Personally, I use winfrotz tts or streight winfrotz, - though weerdly as it's based on a slightly older version, winfrotz tts seems much more stable and has much fewer problems playing games like the old infocom ones.
