I've noticed that make dist is broken in current git.
make -k dist gives the following error:
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/ol222822/rpmbuild/BUILD/ganglia.git/gmetad'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `gm_scoreboard.h', needed by `distdir'.
