I think another reason Mullen rotated quarterbacks was to make the LSU defense
keep adjusting to a different quarterback.

Having Jones to deal with makes the other team’s defense spend time preparing
for him. Time they could have spent preparing for Trask.

Well maybe so but Kyle had that offense humming and we needed every point

In addition to getting Jones experience, you have the fact that we were more
likely to call a QB run closer to the goal line. Jones is better at that and
putting him in reduces the risk of injury to Trask.

imo it hurt more than if helped. Why would you pull a QB who led you the
whole way down the field and then pull him out? IMO you don't make that
change unless you're bogged down.
