It's because they want the STUDENT-athlete to choose where they play based
on the college, not the coach.  I agree with the intent, but it sure seems
artificial based on how often coaches leave for the big $$.

I don't know, but I bet it's a deterrent. They don't want the recruits to
just go wherever they want to after the time has been invested in them by
the institution.

Ok, so I was just thinking, (I know dangerous thing), about why the football
players have to sit out a year if they transfer schools, but the coaches
don't.  Why is that?
