Why? I would rather give the Memphis guy a shot, or Taggart, or go after someone else that’s young and up and coming. Someone who has a shot at being successful! We know what Mullen is capable of. Sorry... This is a step backwards, IMO. This is a desperation move that screams we couldn’t

This is a disaster. No one liked him when he’s here, and the hire will be more unpopular than Ron Zook and Muskrat combined. We’re not renewing our season tickets after 31 years if Sticklin does this. I feel sick. From: gatortalk@googlegroups.com [mailto:gatortalk@googlegroups.com] On

No one thought all this class would stay to the end. It could be worse. We could still have McElwain. Or, we could have Kelly, another self absorbed head case. Florida has never in its existence hired a new coach before the end of the season. We’ll get a coach. And, he will be a good one.

Well, I can't say I'm particularly excited about the choice, but it's done. I do think he'll be a better coach than Muschamp or McElwain—at least I've heard of him—but I worry that we'll win 8-10 games every season, yet never win the conference and never make the playoff. That may be just good
