Maybe...? We could probably debate that too. I don’t think Mullen has ever
taken a mediocre QB and coached him up either.

Stricklin was reported to not be a big fan/friend of Mullen when they were both
at MSU, so I don't think it's a Machen/Meyer situation. IMO of course.

I’m not so sure that it had much of an effect on the players. Unless they had
taken their phones away, most of them already were aware of it and probably
were taking about it. Which is probably why McElwain thought it needed to be
addressed. That’s on Strickland and whichever member of his
I would bet McElwain making his announcement at the pre-game meal for Georgia
had a lot to do with him going out when he did.
It obviously affected the team. I was expecting another close loss, or even a
miracle win at the end. What did we get? Disaster.

If the decision is good; if they hire a coach with experience and success; if
they don’t hire another project, everything will be ok.
The current recruits appear to be waiting to see who we get. They’ll be on with
the right hire.
Let’s all be patient and see who we get.

The issue was that Stricklin had built a case against Mac to fire him "for
cause". What this did was nullify grounds for Mac to receive his "buy out"
provision in his contract which would have been nearly $14 million. If he
waited until the end of the season, it would have negated proof of
Good question Leon. There has to be a lot of sruff we don't know about the

It was one of the most uninspired efforts by the Gators I've seen in a long
time. Probably only a couple of the bowl disasters equaled it. There might not
be another win this season. Our besr shot at a win would be UAB but don't count
on it. BTW we ought to be takning a look at Bill Clarke
I am really worried about this team and the near-term future. It seemed to me
that the efforts on both sides of the ball were uninspired. These guys seem to
have quit. To coin a phrase from Coach Mac, “Don’t look at the past, Next man
