I am writing in to you for your advice and help. I am currently working in IT industry I have lots of junior reporting to me. Last year in 2012 there was one new joiner who joined my team, He was super cool in look and in talk. Slowly while working together I started to have some feeling for him. I try to control my self but it was not possible as we spend almost 10 hours a day together. However I make my self clear before getting into more as a friend. That what I feel as a friend is different than what we are in work, So don't merge the friendship and work and he agrees, so I feel that he understand that as a friend if I am holding his hand for long time sitting close to him, try to touch him any time, there is no issue. Things where going smooth for 6-7 months, he never complied that he is not comfortable with my touch or even spending time with me. There were lots of SMS where also exchanged between him and me, as a friend and some time I write too much as well(such as, I have some feeling for you, I want to spend time with you, ...when there is no one...) During the last year promotion deceleration, he did not got the promotion and he started blaming me that you did not help me and then started ignoring me. I try to make him calm and explain the situation that it was not in my hand so I can not do anything but he did not understood. So I also stop talking to him. Seeing I am not talking to him, he also stopped talking to me and start interacting directly with my manager about work related. Which I really don't like as my Manager will have wrong impression of me that I can not manage my juniors. He also make some comments like "he is gay", "I did not sleep with him so he is behaving like this" Which I came to know from other colleagues. I was so upset that I put my all effort to make him learn the things, he joined as fresher and now he is doing work just because I explain everything and help a lot. and now he is saying all those to other colleagues. So I was completely pissed off and stopped talking to him, its now almost 8 months we have not talked very well. Now again moderation cycle is back in our company and today he called me to discuss something and try to blackmail me saying " if I missed this year promotion he will share those SMS and news to every one company and spoil my life". I am really in depression now and not sure what I can do. Can you please help me.
