A great soul is no more in our midst, but the essence
of MS lives in us forever.
MS as a person, as a singer, as a personality... in
all her facets never ceased to touch lives and hearts.
She was an inspiration (I am from Chennai, and love,
sing carnatic music). She was also a family friend,
MS Subbulaxmi was my favourite singer too. She was
very versatile and she sang some bengali Rabindra
snageet too.
What makes me sad that such a singer who
has gone to yester years, didnt even find a full
coverage in the newspapers. There was just a small
article on her.
I wait for the time
Yesterday night, one of my favourite singer, M S Subbulakshmi passed
away. I am not a South Indian and understand very little of what she
sang. But when she sang, her soothing and rich voice enveloped my
being. The words did not matter. It was her voice that was pure magic.
I am really sorry
