Hello, A friend runs a great non-profit aimed at helping to improve living conditions of domestic workers (or maids) in Mumbai through social enterprise. His project 'Maid in India' provides training and employment to maids, along with a benefits package that covers health and life insurance, pension, gratuity, vocational training etc for free. They also sell this creatively to employers by offering services like maid replacement, holistic security checks for each maid etc
So far his non-profit has helped 200 women, and has increased their monthly income by 95%, and the demand for their service is growing by 20% each month. It has been recognized by various national and international organizations, like Pearson's Foundation, Harvard Medical School - Office for Diversity and Community Partnership, Microsoft Global Giving etc. This survey aims at creating an appropriate training package for these maids, based on consumer demand. Currently they train maids on an ad-hoc basis, but now are looking to move to a more standard training process.
