" I don't believe in highlighting any role. According to me all the roles played by me are good, in fact they are the best from my point of view. Moreover, even if I get an outstanding role, I will accept it only if it suits me or touches the deepest core of my heart. Once I like a particular role, then I try my level best to give it my best. But I must tell you one more thing that I still feel that my best is yet to come. " - TABU

"I only wish the people yielding the power of the pen would use it with discretion and write only when they have a solid proof to back their statement. I also wish the readers would not be blinded by the written word and not treat it like the gospel truth. " - HRITHIK ROSHAN

"Most of the women leave the industry when they are at their peak I feel they leave on their own free will. Nobody asked them to leave. Nobody said, okay now you are married so you can no longer be a heroine…" I've not stopped working at any point. After I got married, I came back and worked. Then I went back and again came here. There hasn't been a major pause or anything. I merely took a hiatus of a year-and-a-half and here I am, back again. There is no written rule that married women cannot act!" - MADHURI DIXIT

"It's equally important for me to believe in the script and the people I work with. I've never at any stage manipulated anything to my own advantage. I have had the opportunity to learn from my mistakes. Today there are heroines who have made their debut when they are older than me. They can't afford to make one wrong move. The controversies, bad selection of roles, and the unsuccessful films were/are a part of the growth as an actress. Success is as important to the process of growth as failure." - KARISMA KAPOOR

"I am happy and excited about my projects. I have some really good films coming up. I think my career is going to take a fine shape. I'm also happy because I have been able to make my parents, brother and wife happy. I have struck a right balance between my career and my family. My brother was never involved in my career, as the media has painted it. He uses to advise me just like my father use to do when he started his career. No one from the family be it Sunny bhaiya or dad, never interferes with my work. I'm free to decide and work with whom I want." - BOBBY DEOL

I have been in the industry now for last 10 years and I have gone through up and downs like all other actresses. I still have films with top directors like Raj Kumar Santoshi, Afzal Khan, and Kamalji. Just because, I 'm not doing 10 to 15 films in a year doesn't mean that I'm losing out. I have decided to cut down on all assignment on my own. From this year, I will do only four films. And it doesn't make a difference to me when I don't get roles like Rani and Preity are getting, those college cuties type. I have grown up. " - MANISHA KOIRALA

"I am amongst the top five actresses in our country. I was presented in a very innocent way. And I brought certain freshness into the film industry. You make a really good dish, you may need a little bit of onion, tomato in little quantity, but these things are really essential. I think every heroine is compared to a lot of people in the past, and rightly so. And I think I will carve a niche for myself where a newcomer will be compared to me, five or seven years down the line. And the kind of cinema we do no is different from what we did earlier. In the beginning there will be comparisons with so and so and so and so and see streaks of other heroines, but once I am better established and a few films old, people will recognize me only for me." - AMISHA PATEL

"I can't believe that I have reached so far without any backing, and without any initial success to my name. But I don't know how successful I am…It's probably just that since I am a public figure and have 10-12 seemingly good films on hand they think it's success. What I think success is success at the box office as an actor, a performer." - AFTAB SHIVDASANI
