Just to document my findings which pretty much confirms what Pinski has said

I have gone back and doubled checked what I found and noticed portage was
removing the -mfix-r5900 option since the start and I

I just rebuilt to test and yes it does still fail with the graphite flags
disabled with the same warnings.
