Bug ID: 101400 Summary: comments mention gnu-attributes[opt] even though it can be empty Product: gcc Version: 12.0 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: c Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org Reporter: roland.illig at gmx dot de Target Milestone: --- gcc/c/c-parser.c says: > gnu-attributes: > empty > gnu-attributes gnu-attribute Several other comments in that file refer to that grammar rule as gnu-attributes[opt]. The [opt] is not necessary in those references. To avoid confusion, the [opt] should be removed from the references. Apart from potentially confusing readers of the code, there is no actual problem.
