             Bug #: 55575

Summary: [4.8 Regression] make: *** No rule to make target

                    `strip'. Stop.

    Classification: Unclassified

           Product: gcc

           Version: 4.8.0

            Status: UNCONFIRMED

          Severity: normal

          Priority: P3

         Component: other

        AssignedTo: unassig...@gcc.gnu.org

        ReportedBy: mar...@trippelsdorf.de

On trunk I get:

markus@x4 gcc_build_dir % sudo make install strip

...

make: *** No rule to make target `strip'. Stop.

markus@x4 gcc_build_dir %

markus@x4 gcc_build_dir % sudo make install strip

...

make: Nothing to be done for `strip'.

AFAICS everything gets installed and stripped just fine,

so it's just an cosmetic issue.
